I broke up with my bf of almost 3 years just over 2 months ago. I thought it will take some time to find someone else but... I met someone 2 weeks later. We've been seeing each other for 1.5 months now and so far things are going great.

There is no standard wait time in my mind. If the relationship was not meant to be, then it was not meant to be. If you find someone you're interested in the next day, so go for it. Just keep in mind that if the person you're interested in finds out that you just got out of a relationship, they might be turned off by that...

Within hours... When my "wife" GF left me... i was ready to go party... go anywhere... but where can i go on foot... My car was in the shop... my job didn't pay me correctly (didn't depost my check in time)... bills got packed... work was a bish... so i was stuck at home... doing nothing... thinking of how can i deal with this stuff... till finally when i had the barrel of my .45 to the bottom of my neck... it clicked... i knew what i was going to do...
Wait for my TL to come home... milk the company for cash... wait for the bonus... resign... pay off bills... then go party... after all of it... which was 2 weeks that lasted like that... she decided she wanted to come back... and work things out... i wanted to too... so we did... now everything is cherry and the ball is rolling once again...
Sorry for the rant... but the answer to this question is... mentaly within hours... actually ready problem wise... couple weeks... thats just me...
edit: forgot to say... she actually broke it with me... and i was torn... but it took a couple hours to actually want to go party and whatnot... still wanted her back though... but couldnt do any of it... i needed advice... thanks you you guys i got it...

If you are dealing with "who, what, where, why, and when bullshit" you aren't with the right woman.

Once the deal has been finalized there is a standard wait time of 1 second. Most people know that the break up is comming anyway.
I say if you were in a serious relationship and you break up, there is no problem with "hanging out" with others right off of the bat. If you really care for her and are still on good terms you might want to wait a week or two so that she knows she meant something to you.

to me not after she fucks you over so i went out with some girl i met the day after. i know thats bad but hey whatever. but now she's quoting my aways and putting them in her away calling me desperate because i'm with someone else and putting in songs that basically says we will be back togehter. and i have learned that the who, where, when, why, ect... stuff that you have to deal with your gf is not worth it and get out of that relationship immediantly it's not worth the drama or her bullshit because if she wants to be with you she wouldn't be out with her guy "friends" every other night.

a serious g/f-- i broke up with her, was still bangin' her, and start goin out with someone else
the serious ex had a whole lotta hate when she found out (even cried for some reason*), but for me I just wanted a girl to take the place of the old one (*who broke up with me) and one just fell into place....
that was a bad idea, but i didnt think about it, it just happened
