tell her how last night you got restless and went on a walk on the beach and thought about somthing serious etc etc... how you cant live without her and how happy she makes you...tell her you went to a little shop that was still open last night and got her a gift. blah blah as the sun is comming up.. tell her youve made up your mind, just like the sun comming up right now to start a new day i want to start a new day with you, i dont ever want to spend another day watchign another sunrise without you etc etc... give her the ring box..and do the deed!

have them do cook/serve your meal there

take her somewhere nice/upscale for after dinner something like a live show

talk to the owner or whoever is running the show before hand of course.

have them call you up there and say you won a prize or something... go up there and talk about how happy you are to win the prize etc then shift the focus on your girl being your prize etc and ask her to marry you right there.

at the first stop make sure she finds something that means something to the both of you.. or just to her or just to you. with another note to go somewheres else

at the end of the chase have her go back to her place or you place.

when she opens the door

candles everywhere lit up with a note that says go to the bathroom.

have a hot bubblebath waiting with a bottle of wine in a bucket of ice with a note go ahead ill join you shortly.

when you make your way in there give her your prepared speech about how all those things remind me of you or remind you of the both of you and how well you fit etc etc and how you want to make more memories like that for the rest of your life and do the deed.

Ok i did it, of course it seems like no matter how much i plan it will get messed up. I was planning to do it earlier after dinner in a nice park area. But that got messed up. The restaurant had a party that was hold up my table. The people eating there was there for over two hours and delayed me more than 30 mins. Then it was raining really hard. Ended up in the car under the pouring rain all wet. Oh well the ring was big enough so I think she didn't care anymore.

haha, no, she's not into that at all. We've been common-law for 7 years and she's now at the point where she'd rather see the coin go towards a paved driveway and some landscaping! But.... she has these friends who are very into rings, and I don't want her (or me) to feel like a cheapskate whe she's around them.

I hate the fact that all the diamonds come from like 2 companies and its a virtual monopoly price game you have to play. For that reason alone, we may go with a ring that is specifically not a diamond.
