Couldn't find a board for this so going with this one since it's the closest thing.

I'm heading to LA Memorial Day weekend. I've never been so I'm looking for some good clubs to go to. One of the girls I'm going with likes techno, the other likes hip hop. They both like dancing. I'd like to go some place pretty nice.

If someone can give me the full break down on where to stay and all that, it would be VERY appreciated.

Which beaches are good to go to?

What are the sites that I should definitely take in?

We'll be there Fri-Mon.

 

Wow, too bad im leaving Cali during the Memorial day weekend. I been down to LA a few times but never went out to clubs. Not 100% sure but I heard the clubs around Hollywood are pretty crazy. Im just one of those ppls that goto bars most of the times. There alot of stuff in LA. Like the Tar Pits. K-Town and J-Town is also nice to look at. The shopping district in downtown LA is pretty crazy. Damn near you can find anything. Also you can check out Redeo Dr. You can check out all the rich ppls cars and the outrageous stores. Sorry that i cant tell you more cuz i just drive down there and head back up in the same day. Dont really spend the night there so my knowledge of night life is very limited.

 

more into bars but been to a few clubs here and there. not gonna make any personal recommendations on places to stay or what clubs u should hit but uhh here's a tip: BRING YO WALLET AND CREDIT CARDS.

 

 

Kind of glad I stopped clubbing when I read about the ghetto fights and shootings.

LA is over-rated, most of my friends here enjoy clubbing in Vegas wayyyy more.

Ok let me try again...stay away from all asian/wannabe gangsta clubs on Friday/Saturday nights at Vanguard, Avalon, Century Club, V20, etc.

I think Highlands on Friday nights has a good mix of people, although I haven't been in over a year, so I could be wrong.

Redondo and Newport are considered nice beaches, Santa Monica has dirty water.

You can visit Rodeo Drive, South Coast Plaza, Beverly Center for luxury shopping. I hope this helps

 

^X2 For the hotels it depends what your budget is. Try not to stay in downtown LA, even expensive hotels there are nasty. Reserve your hotel now since everything will be booked that weekend. Get on Sunset Blvd. in North Hollywood and just bar/club hop. You'll find something interesting. Have fun and be safe

 

also check out "The Pike" at Long Beach its pretty nice after you pass the

oh yea be prepared for high gas prices and lots of traffic.

 

L.A. sucks for clubbing, go to vegas Club Tao was the shit on saturday! and its only four hours away. The clubs in Hollywood suck, I got into fights the two times I was there and I never get into fights at clubs. The girls have high asses and the guys think they are gangsta's...lol...

 

Wow... what the fuck am I going to LA for... can a mod move this for me by the way. I left the question pretty open ended because none of us have any idea where to go. My friend can get us deals on Hiltons, but we can definitely stay away from downtown LA.

 

You can go do the theme park route. Six Flags, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm or Dizzyland. Try Orange County, it's cleaner than LA
