Girlfriend Hogging the Bed

Anyones girlfriend or S/O hog the bed or has in the past? Mine always sleep diagonally on the bed and i get little to no room. Shes 5'3 and im 6'2.

Once i got kinda fed up while i was staying at her place. my feet ending up hanging off the side of the bed and i couldn't sleep. so i got up and slept on the couch. she woke up later and and got me. the rest of the night i had all the room on the bed i could ever ask for.

curious how many couples out there deal with this. damn i might have to deal with this for the rest of my life.

I'm only 5'0 and my fiancee is 5'11. He claims I hog the bed. He says I tend to seek the middle spot when I'm asleep but I think I naturally just seek for his warmth (I easily get cold) and be close to him.

When I had a full bed, both my ex and current gf hogged the bed horribly. The ex worse then the current gf, the current one just hogs ALL the covers, I wake up freezing with zero covers on just about every night. It got so bad, we both started using seperate king sized comforters. When we got my dog we still had the full, and he hogs the bed worse than anyone, we upgraded to a king and a LOT of those issues (minus the cover issue) have gone away, however women like to spread out or be close to you for warmth and security so even if you get a big ass king like i have, they always end up finding their way over to your side, at least now I have the dog in the middle blocking for me

You shouldn't be sleeping together until you're married.

Seriously, when my wife and I were dating and didn't have much money, we shared a TWIN bed for about a year. Talk about cramped.

We now have a King which suits us perfectly. We're both kind of short, me at 5'8 and her at 5'2.

No problems here with a Queen. My wife barely moves at night.

I'm 6'2 and just under 210 and ex/flings have all been around 5'3 and under 120 pounds yet they still manage to take up more then there half of the bed. I have a Queen, probably upgrading to a King since this seems to be an issue with all the recent girls that affect my already poor sleeping patterns.

Get a bigger bed. We have a king and sometimes it's too small. We got it when she was pregnant and needed about 10 pillows to sleep comfortably.

you remember that friends episode with the "hug and roll" ??

you gotta try that but yea I remember my ex used to hog the bed and this was in a twin size college dorm sized mattress. Im 5'8 and she was 4'11, but she somehow got most of the mattress. she wondered why I slept all day the next day and said i was no fun.

After a few times we both agreed we'd wake each other up if one of us hogged the bed. of course the one time I wake her up she gave me the evil eye and went back to sleep. never again.

cliffs: live with it, doesn't matter what size the bed. they will always conquer in some way.

I'm in the same boat.

Don't worry, this is the reasoning most women have given me

I hog the sheets. HAHA

But your best bet, don't let her push you over the edge. Try to sleep at the exact same spot or maybe even take a bit more of her spot so she won't zone in on your territory.

Or better yet, CUDDLE! I love cuddling.

Back in college, we both lived in the dorms, and had no problem sleeping on a twin
size bed for 2 years.

I'd alway let her sleep inside next to the wall just in case she would fall off

i was reading somewhere that if a couple is sharing a full size bed, that each person is pretty much sleeping in an area the size of a crib

Lately, I've been sleeping on the couch or just going home. It's amazing how if I'm in the bed with her, I wake up still groggy, but I sleep like a baby on the couch. I guess it's time to upgrade my full to a queen

This sleeping pattern is clearly indicative of her trying to hog or "dominate" the relationship. Get rid of her immediately.

Basement Couch - but before that it wasn't an issue. We were always twisted, intertwined, wrapped, draped . . . around each other.

I had a GF who was 5' 1" and weighed less than 100 pounds who would take up more space than me because she decided to sleep diagonally.

I stopped that situation. I got sick of it one night so I decided to do the one thing she can't stand...try to get her to have sex. I calmly rolled over and smacked her on the ass. She woke up, startled and pretty pissed, and I said "I noticed you were making a move on me again. Wanna have sex?" At that point, she looked at me like I was soon going to die a slow, painful death. She then rolled back over to her side, said "asshole," and fell asleep.

I smiled, stretched my arms and legs, and fell asleep. Ever since that night, if she continues to crowd me a bunch, I simply say out loud "Wanna have sex?" and she goes back to her side.

Now, I didn't get laid for a good week after this, but a man's sleep is pretty damn important.

I've been single since March but with my ex it was definitely a problem. She would roll around and move so damn much it would drive me nuts.

With the GF before her though we could sleep with arms and legs tangled up together just fine. Pretty sure she had a queen sized bed though. If I start back into the routine of having to share a bed regularly I'll definitely be upgrading from a full sized bed to a queen. And the dog will definitely not be allowed up on the bed any more.

I'm the same way.

Fiance doesn't mind that I hog the bed; all he ends up doing is cuddling really close.

I'm not even comfortable by myself without a least a full (my parents gave me a full size bed right after the crib). We have a queen, which has enough room.

And go with licking, snuggling, rubbing up and asking her for sex if she starts hogging the bed-- nothing bad ever comes out of that for me. Either you get laid or she moves over, or both .
