Do you guys usually go in for the kill the first time your alone with a girl, or do you wait for the 2nd or 3rd time? I chilled with a girl a few days ago, and when I left I just gave her a "hug". After the "hug" I was like WTF am I doing haha...It just felt weird to kiss her as we didn't really know each other too much.

I just kept thinking of the wedding crashers scene where he's talking about the awkward good-byes. Does anyone have that scene?

Anyways, what do you guys do? I usually dive right in, but now it's just awkward, I usually like to get it over with the first time. Now I have to do it the next time we chill, and its just more awkward.

Well I just went over her house to chill for a few hours...Wasn't like a date date...But we we're just talking for a few hours at her apartment. Definitely trying to hit it, but I think she knows that, so I was trying to play it slow. It depends on the mood and how shes reacting to everyting. If shes being shy and nice and keeping to herself I just give a hug maybe a kiss on the cheek and then look her in the eyes for a sec, not to long just a glimpse. if shes playfull and shes acting like she wouldn't mind just do it, the worst she could do is say "not on the first date" then you say something but don't say your sorry. Just say something like "I must have read something wrong" and they usally say soemthing like "no you didn't, just gota save something for the second date". No harm, no foul just don't grab her ass while you do it.

 

Take her out on a date man... don't just go over and 'chill' ask her out and see if she says yes... it's a good way to gauge her interest level...

 

i play it this way... if the first date is pretty amazing and it happens, well then it happens... no harm no foul, but usually i try to put it off until the 2nd or 3rd date and even then, i sorta just let it happen...

I have been out with girls who have "gone in for the kill" on me on the first date, sorta even catching me by surprise. Unless I woke up this morning and look like Brad Pitt or Matt Damon, that usually indicates this girl is only hookup material. Definitely not something for the long term...

 

My advice: Go for the hug and a kiss on the cheek the first time. And see how it goes from there

It depends on the situation, but my philosophy is that if kissing her on the 2nd date doesn't come naturally, then chances are you've met a friend, not someone you'll be in a relationship with.
Of course, there are always exceptions

IIRC, I went for the cheek kiss w/now-wife next to her car after a first date that went well, and she put her tongue in my mouth. Seemed to answer the kissing question right there.

Had a first date last Saturday with a girl met a couple weeks prior. We emailed a bit and talked on the phone once before the date. We went to a bar and hung out until close (5 hours worth of stories and laughing). It was about 15 degrees outside so she started her car with the remote start. When we left I started my TSX loaner (the TL's in the shop ), then we sat in her car for about 20 or 30 minutes. Well, it was gettin to be time to go so she asked me about how to end the night. I said, I think it went really good, a kiss might be in order. She said, I wouldn't say no, so I just went in. Not knowing what to expect I kept the tongue in the mouth until I felt hers. Then it was game on, damn she was a great kisser. I have learned to the girls lead, if she uses a firm short tongue, you do the same. If they do it, they usually like it done to them. Probably the most rockin first kiss I have ever had, perfect lips ect. We are going to do a movie Friday at her place, and she asked via email this week if I know anybody that is good at giving back rubs, just so happens I'm the man. We'll see how it goes. How can you get accused of "invading personal space" when she invited you in the first place? Did you do something inappropriate? I don't think I will have that problem, but I guess ya never know these days. I'm not looking to get laid on the second date btw, just have a good time. She loves Italian food so I think I'll make Lasagna and take it over there. Maybe I can score some points with the skills in the kitchen (not that I have much, but some is better than none).

 

I know - exactly why I was confused.
The funny thing is although we were both in her couch watching the movie, I was always at arms length since from her body language I could tell she didn't want to get too close, so I never tried to put my arm around her or kiss her or anything. She even put the remotes between be and her.

It was the most "wtf" second date ever, since the first date we had was much like your first date - we really hit it off and had a blast just talking for hours, and lots of little touches here and there... oh well.

drank before goin to a club.. We go inside and it was just me and her and everybody else around her, i was red as hell(i'm asian and get the GLOW FTL).. Me and her just smooch and grabbin each other n shit,, in front of everyone! goddam, i felt slutty,lol. So much grinding n shit.. Me and her had a loong history with each other so i knew her well, so i at least know i'm not kissing an HIV/STD/Aids whore..

At the end of the night, we were in the car and friends in the back.. We held hands and dam, she was feelin on the pants, lol. she just kept on rubbin on my thigh,close to the nuts lol.

It's 4 am and just got home from date number two. Lets just say she didn't mind me invading her space. Didn't punch it, but a good time was had none the less. I'm glad it went the way it did, at least she isn't a ho, and I don't feel dirty. I think date number 3 is just around the corner. Can't remember the last time I got home this late and will be able to remember everything that happened in the morning. It's a great day already! Now I just have to figure out how do stay awake when i go pick up my TL from the dealership in 2.5 hours. Guess I better sleep fast. (1.5 hour drive).
