Does your mother like your girlfriend/wife?
I noticed most of my buddies have mothers who dont care for their current girlfriends. They always making small comments here and there about the girl, of course not to her face.
Just wondering if this is common.

my mom says she likes her, but i know deep down she has a problem with it. then again im a browny and my grl is a different religion although a browny as well. silly curry slingers have so many god damn problems.

Mom LOVES my girlfriend. Wants me to marry her when the time is right. She liked her right from the get go.
All my past girlfriends, mom didn't care for some, really disliked others. But was always good enough to never make an issue of it, or say anything negative.

my mom loves my girlfriend. it helps that my parents are good friends my with my girlfriends parents. So all is good

My mom likes my fiance and supports our relationship. My dad accepts her and I think he likes her, though possibly begrudgingly. I'm sure they would both be happier if my fiance was Jewish, but they aren't making an issue out of it. Between my two brother and I, we pretty much covered the seven continents, so they can't be too surprised.

my mom . . . let see. When my mom first found out we were dating, she flipped, screaming and telling me to call it off. After dating this girl for 3 months I took her to the family thanksgiving to meet the family, my mother tried to introduce her as my "friend." When I refered to my girlfriend she would go "that nice girl you brought . . . ", "no mom, my girlfriend." It took her 9 months to call her my girlfriend. Both me and my girl know my mother is a little leary of the whole dating thing. My dad however even I cannot read. He knowns exactly what is up, I mean back in the day, he would know and reference the laws on jailbait. We've gone to the beach after having dinner with my parents (45 minutes away) and my mother went "that's nice you going for dessert?" and without missing a beat my dad flatout says "bullshit"
