Date on Valentine's day whoops
So I'm supposed to take this girl out this week on Wednesday - and I was completely oblivious to the fact that it's Valentine's Day, until just now I realized it.
Pretty much I'm wondering if I should do anything Valentine-ish cause it isss Valentine's day?....even though I forgot I'm sure she's aware (aren't all girls all hooked up on Valentine's Day?)
any suggestions?

damn, thats a conundrum. I say get her some flowers and say you exactly what you told us, that you didn't realize it was V-day, but figured you'd get her flowers (or something, perhaps a box w/a hole..jjk) and say that you didn't want her to feel left out.
...she should melt, if not then you could say you don't think valentines day is special, cause you should spend everyday cherishing what you have, and the people in your life. Thats deep.

haha that's pretty funny. strange coincidence. anyway, not sure if you should mention you didn't even realize it was v-day, she might have been happy about it, and you wouldn't wanna disappoint her
Yeah I've been wondering what to do with my girl on Valentines Day since she keeps dropping hints that she wants a suprise but then I have only been going out with her for 2 weeks so far, so its not even that big of a deal or is it...? Plus Im a cheap colege student too in between jobs at that.
LMAO, I hope you don't bring her out, Vday would be the worst day to go out. Everything cost more, and is packed
Too much money on a first day, oh hell no....But she may feel a little more obligated to drop the panties considering it is Valentine's day.....
I say stay away from eating out, maybe cook something at your place....Candles, Choclates, some cheap flowers from Safeway (supermarket) should get her done....

Cook her dinner. Simple as that. I would not go out. Dinner at your place is more romantic. Find out from mutual friends what types of food shes likes to eat, or ask her directly. A single new candle and a single rose (red if you want to get romantic) on the table when she walks through the door would impress her. It's the thought that counts.
Have some sort of small dessert too, and possibly a movie if you want to continue the night.
If this is your first date, the night has two prongs: you can find out more about her during dinner, and then you both won't have to talk during the movie.
If this is a first date, ask questions. Find out more about her. Talk to her and listen. If she is interested in you, she will ask questions about you. I've found that women, in general, like having questions asked about them from someone new (like a date).
Tell us how it went!

I say keep it simple. Depends how long you know this person. If the duration is not long buy some flowers ( dont have to be roses ). Or keep it light and make an early night or and afternood if you could. Dont metion how you didnt know it valentines day it might put a hamper to your evening.
If all else fails you can get her " junk-in-a-box " if you dont know what im talking about im refering to an SNL skit where Justin Timberlake was hosting and singing a song ( looks like a music video ) about wraping your junk in a box ( with a bow and all ) and giving it to your partner. funny stuff.

Anyway yeah I wasn't ever going to mention I didn't realize it was Valentine's Day..so I'm thinkin I'll go with the one rose and def some sort of candy (she's a candy fiiiiiiend) just gotta work on where exactly to take her. Should go well..I'll let you all know how it goes.
It's not something worth over analyzing.
If you were going out to dinner, just take her to a spot with a V-day menu. There, V-day recognition over.
And if you do get her flowers don't get anything more than a single rose, it'll be too much. Not because she'll get weirded out by your flattery, but because assuming you don't know her too well, she's not really worth it yet.
You got a date in at a bad day
. Just acknowledge it, do a couple simple (cheap) things to let her know you're not a piece of shit and that'll be that.
