I was engaged for 4 years long-distance to a gerl, ... after I find out about the "other guy" that has been in the picture for 2 full years, only *then* do all my friends say "well she was a complete psycho and I thought she was no good and probably an extremely dangerous choice as a fiance, but I didn't want to tell you cuz you obviously were REALLY srsly into her, so that's how come I said absolutely nothing to discourage you going ahead with marriage plans".

even if she did get a job, it's clear that she is not going to work once they do get engaged/married. to make matters worse, it sounds like she cant hold a job even if she wanted to. shes twidling her thumbs and waiting for him to get a place for the two of them and support her.

if your friend IS willing, and NOT anticipating making enough money, then he needs to move on.
