In my experience, you will know when things click. Everyone always says just be yourself and don't force anything... I definitely think they're right! I think the worst thing you can do is try too hard and then everything will turn out awkward.
Having confidence in yourself is a big plus. But remember... there's a fine line between confidence and cockiness... you don't want to come off as someone with a big ego. Try to make a funny comment and make her laugh to break the ice and then just ask her if she's free for lunch or dinner.

I tried 1 cheesy pick up line once and it worked.
It was at a restraunt. She was our waitress. She brought us our bill and when I went up to pay it, I said "I have a problem with this bill!" She said " Whats wrong with it?" I said "Your phone number is not on it!".... I was in like flynn.
