We also do pesto air fryer salmon routinely and it always turns out awesome. Would recommend.

I was confused by it as well, but quite a few of the recipes I found all involved biscuits. Apparently it's a southern thing

These had more sugar than regular biscuits too; both in the dough and sprinkled on top with a milkwash. I can't have strawberries, so I made a variation with blueberries for myself last night. I enjoyed it, and my fiance really liked the strawberry version.

Did it again last night, this time over a salad with diced pears and beets.

That makes sense. I've only had it on...shortcake.

Yup, definitely a southern thing. Depends on the biscuit recipe whether I like it or not. Some use really dry biscuits and I find it terrible.

I definitely prefer the norther shortcake version. I have found a few southern places that make it like that but they do it in a muffin tin to make it similar size to the biscuit version.

Not sure why I decided I had a couple extra hours to spare with a newborn at home, but I made homemade lasagna last night. I mixed in fresh basil from my garden, and fresh garlic with a container of ricotta and a cup of mozz

I used ground turkey, with more garlic and some yellow onion

Boiled the noodles and started the layers

1st layer done

All layered and ready for oven

And the finished product, it was a lot of work and in hindsight I probably should have made 2 and froze 1, but oh well, it was delicious. It's been too hot to grill or use the smoker, so this was a yummy dinner and leftovers for tonight

Damn that looks good but yeah I bet that was a lot of work. At least you will have left overs for a couple nights to recoup some time.

First thing other than bacon that I've cooked on it. Faster & tasted better than doing it in the oven like we have been before.
Looking forward to using it more.

Picked up a couple large steaks for less than a set of NY Strips
Fed all 5 of us with a fair bit left for lunch the next day.

One of my favorite pasta dishes is Olive Garden's Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo, but we hate getting takeout from there because they make you sit in your car while they make your food and it takes forever, so I decided to make my own. I used Banza chickpea pasta because it has more protein and my kid has issues with some pasta noodles. It came out fantastic, my wife said it was one of the top 3 things I've ever made her, and I didn't expect her to like it that much! Definitely will be making this one again. My daughters both loved it as well lol

They didn't turn out as tender as a NY, and were a little more done than I like [thinner cuts] but turned out pretty good.
Not bad for $22
NY were something like $36 for 3

@97BlackAckCL That pasta dish looks fantastic. Nice work replicating the recipe.

This is the one I followed with some tweaks, I used Pecorino Romano in the sauce instead of Parm, and only a little bit of parm cheese. I also added garlic to my sauce because I use garlic in everything. I also used way more spinach, however I had to cook the sauce down longer because it got so watery so next time will dial back the amount of spinach used. I used sirloin tips for the steak, it was fantastic!
