Pot racks
Pot racks
We have the need to free up some kitchen cabinet space now that there is a kid on the way. I was thinking of doing some sort of hanging pot rack to clear out the one level of the cabinet to make room for baby supplies.
I've seen a bunch online but was wondering if anyone on here had any recommendations or experiences with these?

We have most of our pots stacked under one cabinet, and the pans in the storage area of our stove. I also put up some shelves for other pots and lids if I needed them.
Either way, ours is something like this one just black...

By the way, what all do you think you will need to store for the baby in the kitchen? Most of our stuff fits into our pantry and for the most part could easily fit into a space about 12 x 24. The only large item was formula.

Personally, I would never move my pots and pans. Aside from the occational noise when Elliott takes them and bang on them with a wooden spoon, I have no issues with it. To me they are benign.
In fact he learned to take them out, play with them and put them back IN ORDER. And it was never a problem. We have about 12 pots in the one cabinet and a set of about 5 lids. The skillets he doesn't mess with. It's a bit tougher for him to get those and they don't make as much noise.
As far as what you may need for the baby, it really is up to you guys. But we had a lot of formula which we kept in the pantry, bottles and such which we just kept in a tub also in the pantry. And semi-solid foods. Also kept in the pantry. We basically dedicated part of one shelf to his stuff which was about 18 inches by 30 inches. And some of the space we were able to use for cereal for us.
Personally, I would wait til the baby comes and then decide how much space you will need for baby stuff before putting holes in your ceiling or wall for a rack.
