My new favorite cooking tool

So I got this for xmas last year and literally just threw it in the bottom of the cupboard and never thought twice about it. But i've been using this now for the last 2 months and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. My grill has been lonely the last few months (the only reason I really started using this was because my grill needs some replacement parts and I was debating buying a new one or replacing the parts)

But this thing is AMAZING

I've been cooking EVERYTHING on it, veggies, pork chops, ribeyes, burgers, chicken, bacon, etc

I just love it and recommend it to anyone. The best is cleaing it. 90% of the time it just needs to be rinsed off, the rest of the time a sponge will take care of everything else.

It's taken me a while to get the temps of it down right, but now i've got it

Are you using it:
in the oven
stovetop 1 burner, or
stovetop 2 burners

I just started using cast iron pans in lieu of teflon or ceramic coated pans recently. Now that I know the trick to cleaning them (salt & vinegar plus a copper wire scrubbing pad) I don't think I'll ever go back.

I've been meaning to get one of them all summer. My indoor grill puts off way too much heat to even attempt using in the summer months

It's pretty sweet. The best part is that because it's so easy to clean, he insists on cleaning it himself every night, because it's still so amazing. Cool. Less work for me!

I have one, and i LOVE it. Now my foreman grill (apartment dweller) sits lonely in a kitchen cabinet, forgotten. I'll never go back!

Does it distribute the heat pretty evenly?

I just picked up one similar to that. The one I got doesn't have the handle. It's reversable. On one side is a flat surface and the other side is like that one. It's great.

I've only used the flat side for breakfast so far....eggs, bacon, pan cakes and french toast. Does a great job.

I JUST bought my gf the same damn thing (All-Clad from Williams-Sonoma), and she loves it. I think it was $99, but I can't remember.

I found that unless mothers specifically ask for cooking and/or cleaning products, its best to not give them those as gifts.
