Memorial Day Burger Recipe
Fast food burgers suck... from 5 Guys to McDs...
1) Prepare the 85% ground chuck with black pepper, Heinz 57, and a bottle of Killians beer.
2) Slow grill the patties with as much smoke as possible from hickory chips.
3) Cut the lettuce, tomato and sweet red onions and stick them into the fridge along with the swiss cheese until ready to assemble.
4) Prepare the chili with mustard and worchestire and Texas Pete.
5) Have pickle relish, ketchup, and cole slaw as needed.
6) Butter the sesame seed buns and grill for a minute or so.
Stack and eat.

all work and no play
sounds pretty good!
my crowd pleaser is
1) prepare 85% ground chuck, or even 85% turkey with black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Dont be afraid to use copious amounts of all of em. I dont think Ive ever over done it, even when I was worried that I had.
2) get the grill nice and hot and put them on, let them sear or two, then flip them and turn the heat down so that they sear, but then can just cook. If you have a 4 burner its nice to then be able to move them to the other side with a normal temp.
3) cheese of choice, butter and toast the rolls. But get fresh rolls from a bakery if you can! then add toppings of your choice.
4) I occasionally will also chop up some onion and green pepper and mix them in with the meat before I form the patty.
everyone always loves them, and the sear makes them incredibly juicy

I just made burgers on Friday night, I mixed in black pepper, garlic powder, hand ground montreal steak seasoning, a little bit of season salt and a little bit of cajun seasoning, and hand mixed all the meat repeatedly until the meat was good and tenderized, then I hand pressed patties and grilled them. Then we fried up some applewood smoked bacon and put that on top.
For turkey burgers, I mix the meat up with a packet of ranch seasoning. Then I mince up some garlic, red onions, yellow squash, baby portabella mushrooms, and sometimes some form of bell pepper and mix all the veggies together. I then stuff the ranch turkey burgers with them and grill them. I then melt colby jack cheese slices on top. I slice up the rest of the veggies into strips, and marinate them in Kraft Balsamic Dressing for at least 30 mins. I then make a tray out of heavy duty foil and cook all the veggies on the top rack of the grill, and grill the turkey burgers on the bottom rack.

You don't want to "mix repeatedly" with hamburger meat. That's how you get tough and chewy burgers.

Not if you use good meat, and not if you know what you're doing

It's beef over a fire. Possibly with cheese. It's good. Mix away.
