i make stuff like this all the time and i have some tips
if you have one in the area i recomend stopping by your local carneceria or mexican butcher and getting pre marinated carne asada or pollo asada and subing it for the steak it makes for way better tacos while you are there get some crema (like sour cream but better) and queso fresco those really make the tacos

chikai, i love tofu as much as the next guy but that has to be the most boring tofu recipe i have ever seen! blah.
at least specify a type of oil too... its all about what kinda oil u use.
how about some teriyaki sauce... or tempura batter. maybe some potatoes and red pepper or something. anything but plain tofu!!
