CLpowers Buffalo Wings (for the hot wing lovers)

Spicy BBQ Chicken Wings

these things are really good and make a great addition to the weekend football games w/ the boys

“Measurements are only suggestions. Make sauce to taste – you’d have to be pretty drunk/stoned to screw this up.”

3 lbs Chicken wings

12 oz. Frank’s RedHot

½ stick butter

BBQ sauce (a couple good squirts out of the bottle)

Tabasco Sauce

Honey ( I use alot, it really adds to the flavor)

garlic/garlic powder (about 3-5 cloves)

black pepper

cayenne pepper (be carefull w/ this one, it can really heat things up)

a few dash's of brown sugar

celery/carrots

bleu cheese/ranch dressing

If you don’t want to (or don’t know how to) prepare whole wings – which are usually meatier – buy pre-cut “wingettes” but avoid frozen bags. Melt butter in RedHot in sauce pan. Add some BBQ sauce and honey. Add spices to taste. Consider how much beer you want to serve when adding the Tabasco and cayenne pepper. Marinate wings in half the sauce. Grill over medium heat. Make wings well-done – crispy is good, salmonella bad. Place wings in large bowl and pour remaining sauce over top. Serve with blue cheese and celery on the side. Feeds five gluttons or three hogs.

Wings with bleu cheese > *

What kinda grill is that, a Lynx? Mines just like yours but it doesn't look nearly as clean.

For the grill challanged:

Deep fry wings till crisp
Mix with sauce
Nuke for 5 minutes. Or bake for 10.

Well, this is kinda a Chicago only product (I think), but the next time you are in the supermarket and if they have "Uncle Dougies Chicken Marinade", go for it! I am addicted to this stuff!

Scrib, see if it is near you, and if not come to the NW Burbs. Available in any Jewel

Modified instructions: After washing and seperating wings, put in pyrex cake dish or the like. Shake Uncle Douggies and pour the mixture over the wings and let sit for an hour or so, then cook per directions in the oven. Then they say to finish them off on the grill for 15 minutes. Don't do that! Half of your wings will stick to the grill. add the 15 minutes to the oven time. Enjoy. I give this stuff as Christmas gifts to my friends.

I used to work in Pittsburgh where hot wings are a big thing. There is a place there, Quaker Steak and Lube, that has one variety of hot wings that you had to sign a release form for-no shit! Some people had reactions to them. The ambulance had been there more than once.

Me and the boss ordered a sample order of five, and between the two of us, we consumed maybe one wing. Sometimes, there is such a thing as too hot. My mouth burned for hours. It was borderline offensive, and man, did we try to cool off with lots of alcohol.

We asked the waitress who holds the record for eating these in one sitting. Her reply: "An australian. 24. And he never even asked for even a glass of water."

Better man than me.

Uncle Dougies isn't like that. But it does have a half life.

size doesn't matter, my girlfriend brought me home some wings from a place in VA that only like 5-6 people had finished an order of. She had to sign a waiver before she could take them. I ate like an order and a half I gave them to twof riends and I thought we were gonna have to go to the ER

I've had some insanely hot wings in my time. And while I've had the opportunity to sign waivers, I've always decided my tastebuds would aprreciate me sticking with the just shy of insanity sauces.

I like my wings hot, but there's a point where I just gotta say NO.

Sounds like the "buffalo wing factories" wings in Northern VA. They hurt deep down inside. I had black squirts for 2 days after having one of those.

Other people at the table watched me go from normal, to ghost white, to beet red and dripping sweat. Not fun.

EDIT: Holy crap that was my 1000th post.

yea, I was born eating extremely hot shit. When I was like 5 I walked up to my dads habenero plant and asked him what it was, he told me to eat one

I grew up just pulling them straight off the plant and eating them from then on. I can handle basically anything given to me w/in reason.

My folks have a Viking grill. Growing up and moving around my dad would talk about his dream kitchen and Viking everything.

About 8 months ago he finally did it, re did the whole kitchen and added Viking stove, fridge, dishwasher and outdoor grill.

I got to see it for the time a little while ago when i went to visit them, Viking fucking rules, their shit is awesome.

Nobody from upstate NY or Buffalo????

You guys haven't had wings until you have had them at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo or Duffs, the home of the wing.

Duffs wings with a loaf of onion rings is the best!!

Frankly not much else to do in Buffalo.

wings factory 911 wings are pretty hot, but more just gross than hot. i grew up being forced to drink tabasco, vinegar, and eating HHH horseradish as a punishment for being bad or cussing when i was little. eventually i got use to the stuff and can pretty much eat anyting hot or sour now. the only thing thats come close to giving me a severe case of acid-mud butt was 4 habaneros while dipping a garlic clove(fraternity fun). if anybody is feeling brave or just stupid chew up a garlic clove and put it between your lip and gums like your dipping, now THAT WILL make a grown man cry... makes me hurt thinking about it

ps i thought my brother and i invented grilling wings, ive never seen anybody else do that.
