I see lately that sous vide is getting popular and was wondering if anyone here had any first hand experience with it. I'm really tempted to try the Anova sous vide immersio circulator instead of buying a full water oven. It's had fairly decent reviews, but I can't tell if they are paid blog reviews...

 

i saw some you tube vids about the Anova sous vide and looked pretty awesome.
you can diy and make your own water ovens!

however, i could probably find other uses for the money.
