We only eat steak maybe once a month but had a craving for one last Friday so we went to Lonestar Steakhouse (used an Enetertainment Book coupon). I dont' know if it was because we were really hungry by the time we ate but I must say that their filet mignon wrapped in bacon was delicious.
last week I ate at Boizao, while I was in Tampa. It was excellent. It's a brazilian steak house. All you can eat meat (mostly cow) and they bring it to you on a big skewer.
they had great caipirinhas to compliment the food.

Since Im a cheapass all my new meals are at home.
Tried an easy way to make Cassoulet. Sausage, Chicken, white beans simmered with chicken stock, fresh sage and other spices. Then a homemade buttered breadcrumb topping that gets baked for a few minutes.
Although this weekend Im trying out a new Mexican place for my birthday.

I ate churrasco steak, gallo pinto (rice and beans Nicaraguan style), plantain chips and flan for dessert at Los Ranchos. It's a mini-chain of Nicaraguan food that specializes in churrasco.

My auto teacher had a barbeque a couple of weeks ago, its his tradition in every one of his classes. He cooked up a bunch of buffalo tri-tip steaks marinated and seasoned by himself. It was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Not sure how he did it but when you bit into the steak, it gushed with juices, and it tasted like the marinade, not just raw steak juice.
Went to the Left Bank on Wednesday for dinner. Had the filet mignon, medium rare. It was served with a diced potato dish. Very good. Cooked perfectly and went great with the glass of wine I had. And the best part is that it was FREE.
Other than that....the 3 racks of ribs we made last weekend at home.
