Yeah when I farm runes, I use the Blasphemous Blade's special move since the enemies are spread out and the red dudes need to be staggered.
4am gaming until 5:30, woke up my gf with coffee and then went to the gym.
Tonight I will be hurting.

Takes 2 shots on that hill. It's even FASTER than using the Blasphemous Blade. Just make sure you level it up to +8 or higher.

I still haven't beaten it
You're right though. I did see that video. Let me check the NPC quests, then I'll kill the bosses, dupe the Rememberance, and use the sword to level up. That'll make it way easier.
I played a bit yesterday in the snowfields and explored the large landmass before crossing the chainlink to the Fire Giant. Got killed...despite my near Level 300 by a stupid giant snowcrow. Yep, this game still reminds me how I cannot take it for granted. Albeit, my HP is only 46...I was adding to my INT for awhile in order to be able to cast Ranni's moon spell. Not sure it was worth it and I may visit her Mom to respec myself...all this INT is not really that useful except when I am using the Moonveil katana.
I think before I take on the Giant, I'll go unlock Haligtree.
Giant snowcrow? Are you talking about those huge trolls specific to that area? In the first area of the Mountaintop at the Zamor Ruins, those fast dudes hit like tanks. Even as leveled up as I am, they still kick my ass.
And those Zamor knights with their curved swords? Yeah, not easy fights either. The mountain snow-giants are not easy too because they roll. Nothing really was a gimme after the Lake stage...Caelid started to show the power of enemies again. And yeah, I still die on occasion...not nearly at the clip in my first go-round but this game reminds me often how I cannot take anything for granted.

I am 100% on trophies...I think, I'll take a break on this game now.

Congrats on the platinum tarnished one! I don't think I'll go for it.
I tried a few times solo and got lazy so I started with Ogha; meh. Forgot the mimic existed
. First time I used the mimic, I got to the Beast and lost with him having a sliver of health left. Beat him the second time using the mimic. I didn't do the ending yet. Cleaning up some areas with the Beast's sword and yeah that special move

Congrats on Lordship!

Yeah, at 100% -- as tempting as it is to go Round 3, I will stop. I complete the game at Level 350...essentially a battle-mage with 60s in endurance, strength, and intel. High 50s in dexterity and mid-50s for vitality. High 40s for faith, low-40s for arcane and MP. Fun fun game...sure, the difficulty curve was immense but I loved it. Can't wait for what's next by From Software in these series.
Keep it going dude. I assume you'll go through NG+, right?
I have some added discoveries and perspective after going through it again (like wiping the floor with Melania in Haligtree) that I am happy to help with. I may play NG++ down the road...the urge to actually is high but I really need to start Crisis Core as I've had it here on my shelf unopened for a few weeks now.

I will likely eventually go for these: https://kotaku.com/elden-ring-rare-w...ill-1849491602
And I think there's also the Banished Knight armor set which is hard to get? So, it'll take leveling up Arcane and thus, NG++.

Save this for when you face off against Malenia later, @Doom878 -- this was what brought her down on 1 try with hardly any damage to me:
- Blasphemous Blade +10 (and 2-handed for the flame attack)
- Erdtree Seal +10
- Cerulean Amber Medallion +2
- Erdtree's Favor +2
- Ritural Sword Talisman
- Fire Scorpion Charm (to amplify fire attack from sword)
- Flask mix: Crimson Bubble Tear and Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear (more amplifaction of fire attack from sword)
- Spirit: Mimic +10
For spells, I pre-buffed myself before entering her chamber by casting the following:
- Golden Vow
- Blessing of the Erdtree
- Blessing's Boon
- Flame Grant Me Strength
Had a distribution of 6 heals and 8 MP restoration flasks.
The fight was over in minutes and didn't even need to heal once.

Holy shit nice! You crushed her! I already kicked her ass with my Mimic. I think this time around, I'll try without ashes or maybe with Tiche because Mimic is way OP.
While waiting for my girlfriend last night I found the hidden Haligtree tunnel secret chamber where you fight the Mimic again and got the last deathroot. Then I found a fifth sacred cursed root for the Dung Eater. Now I'm going to locate the missing Ashes of War.

Oh, yeah...the Dung Eater storyline is dependent on those cursed things. I think the Haligtree is the last one to complete his storyline.
Sadly I didn't get his ashes. Think I need to in the next cycle.
K...so, for Dung Eater, his quest is completely reliant on those Seedbed curses or whatever they are called. He eats them.
Once you give him the max number, he croaks and gives you his Rune...which you use as an ending...and you also get his ugly armor set. That's it. If you want him as a summon, the only way for that is to convert him into a Puppet. You do that by poisoning him with the potion Ranni's mage gives you. In the second playthrough, I held onto it instead of feeding it to the warrior chick or her surrogate 'dad' (Gideon).

See...this is what is terrible. I am already itching to place NG++...it's weird, I am not motivated to play Crisis Core at all right now.
I'll just force myself to open the latter and install and start the game this weekend.

This freaking game, man.
So good...
I think I have like 95% of the ashes. The ones missing are acquired through NPC activities. The same with the talismans. I actually got the trophy for talismans even though I'm missing a few. I checked my trophies and I'm missing the Moonlight Greatsword and Bolt of Gransax for the Legendary Armament trophy, some spells that I haven't done the inventory on, and the 3 endings obviously. I'm going to see which spells I can find, which NPC stories I can wrap, and some other misc stuff so should be only a few more weeks.
I technically could do the Frenzied Flame ending and I have the needle but I will def have to go to NG+ for the Bolt. Let's see how close I can get to plat. One of the stories I wrapped was the girl missing an arm where you fight the tree boss near Malenia's lair. After the fight, you can either aid or her or fight her. You and her take out 4 NPCs at once. Great fight with so much rot everywhere.

In regards to the Moonlight Greatsword, you get that from Ranni if you make her your 'bride'...

Well, just complete her quest and she'll reward you with it. In regards to the Bolt...it's in the Capitol BEFORE you destroy the tree. So, you may not be able to get it now. You find it by climbing that giant spear next to the mega Dragon statue -- yes, the spear is on the spear.

Millicent's basically Malenia's daughter I think...or spawn/clone...except, she does not allow herself to become like her Mom after you had helped her out. Interesting story...if you go back to her 'Dad' over in Caelid (he's that creepy guy in a red hood sitting in a beat-up shack with a giant dog sitting outside), you get stuff from him when he dies of heartache.

Well I went down the list and have a few sorceries missing from NPC quests and Immutable for the incantations. Immutable is obtained from Brother Corhyn while alive (he's dead). So now all I have left are some NPC quests that I might be able to complete and then I think that's it for this cycle.

Fought the urge to play all week so, sitting at 100% for NG+ instead of restarting and going back to 0 for NG++. Looking back over my years of gaming, is ER the best game I've ever played...? I think it's in the top 3 at least...
I mean, Bloodborne was also fantastic and hang on, was the DLC the entire world that is all underground? I think I played to an extent and then stopped...I never got to the end-boss in that underworld...was it the Queen or something? I have to check up on the story.
No those were the Chalice Dungeons which were supplementary levels. The DLC has another set of worlds. Dude the three big fights in the DLC are the best in the game. There's a cutscene similar to Godfrey that is EPIC with a famous weapon. Screw Crisis, go play that DLC man.

Okay...so, I really have a huge chunk left to play still in BB...Chalice Dungeons to complete and the DLC...
Lord...the thing is, I may have to start over in the game and do I have it in me? Fighting that priest-werewolf still gives me the heebie-geebies...
Definitely a tough boss. That was my first boss roadblock for any Soulsborne game. I promise you the DLC is worth it. I've only been telling you for like 4 years now.
Curious how it will play on the PS5.
