XO: Forza Motorsport 5
Not liking what I'm reading in here:

Are you kidding me?! Only 200 cars for a game like this? And with the car packs we get 6 months, right? 10 cars each, that's only 60 cars. Wtf. Forza 4 had 400 on disc if I remember correctly.

Lawd
I'm still not impressed with the car selection. LaFerrari, P1, and F12 are the only ones I'm excited for. Stupid asses put in the G65 AMG, yet took out the XJ220, and STILL no Porsches.

Also, a comment on the above video points out the #2 Audi LMP car, which is not on the reveal list...
Interesting...
But I've noticed they have the Audi R8 listed like 3 times, so it could be an error, but we can hope that they're hiding cars from us for now and there really is more than the 200 listed.

You know if they had made the new COD exclusive to the new xbox, they'd probably have gotten a lot more buyers. I cannot possible rationalize the purchase of $600 console, then buy COD for 10 (on trade for my 360 version), then buy forza and the season pass for a total of
720+ tax, for me $780. F' that. I could buy a real running car(albeit a pos) for that much money.
Graphics look great but I just feel like it would become any other forza real quick.
Not trying to go off track, but it's relevant.

Why does everyone say that? "I'm not paying xxx amount of money for one game!"
You're not looking at anything long term. The console does many other things besides play games, which many people use every day.
Also, this a damn console, games will be out constantly. You're not buying it for one game, you're buying it for the games that come out in the future.
360 and PS3 were $400+ and people bitched about that too, and now look, everyone and their mother has one.

I say that because, if I had to wait till I could justify the console/saved up, Forza 5 will be dead, just like all my other forzas are now. Think I'll be waiting for 6, or the $20 bin. I'm not saying those with the disposable income shouldn't do it, go ahead, I had that period in my life, not now. Bills bills bills. I'll also say this, COD is the same way as forza, they get better maybe but really it's just the same game. This reply makes me feel very old.... and cheap, but whateva.

In a way, all games end up being the same after some time but this Forza has changed the engine, much better graphics and detail as well as physics, new tracks, new cars, ect. I'm not bringing CoD up because it doesn't belong here.
Just read part of the Gamespot review...
14 tracks vs FM4's 24
The fewer cars thing doesn't bother me as much as the tracks. FM4 got stale and repetitive very quick with racing on the same tracks over and over with no change in weather...hoping FM5 has some tracks for DLC coming.

Well, after a few hours on day one, I can say I'm very pleased with Forza 5.
The Pros:
-Graphics. Are. Amazing. The detail is incredible, from chunks of tires to brake dust.
-The new and improved physics
-The rumble in the triggers compliments Forza very nicely (more on this later)
-Lighting effects, incredible.
-The SOUND is on a whole new level, cars around you are louder and through tunnels or even concrete barriers change the sound and echo.
-The paint, lots of different textures and such to choose from.
The Middleground (unsure):
-The new triggers are very easy to push in, thus making braking without ABS very difficult to get used to. The plus side of this is the new rumble in the triggers, it varies and it's easy enough to tell when you're going to lock up your brakes.
-The wheel selection is the same, with about 3 new wheels, yes, this does suck, but all wheels are now paintable, including stockies, also available is WHITE!
-I can't say first hand, but I miss Maple Valley, that is a favorite of mine and I heard it was not shipped with the game. Also missing is Nurburgring, Fujimi and some others.
-Less cars and tracks but the ones available are incredibly detailed so I'm thankful for that.
The Cons:
-Wheels are no longer organized by manufacturer, but instead by "Design", example; Sport, Multipiece and Luxury (I think).
-Drivatars are pretty aggressive at times, they brake for no reason at all, but there is always one or 2 that lead most of the race, almost 5 seconds faster than even me, what gives?
Overall, I'd give it a 8/10.
It's excellent in what is there. But the missing tracks and cars are what brings it down a little, plus then they want to nickel and dime us to death with DLC.
If you enjoyed Forza 4, I'm sure you'll enjoy 5. I know I am.
