The carbon fiber structure of this $300,000 supercar has been outfitted with an additional several hundred pounds -- and tens of thousands of dollars of high-tech equipment -- in building a Hollywood-strength, purpose-built HD camera rig with the sole goal of capturing the world’s fastest zoetrope. Acclaimed automotive director and rally champion Jeff Zwart directed the project, which was developed after months of careful research and preparation.

Invented in 1834 by William Horner, the zoetrope is a simple device that turns static pictures into moving images. Small illustrations are placed equal distances apart inside the bottom of an open drum and when spun, the static illustrations produce the illusion of motion; the faster they go, the more fluid the animation. Filmmakers today have far more advanced technologies at their disposal, but the basic concept of the zoetrope rings true. The more illustrations you use and the faster you flip between them, the smoother the animation. Forza FilmSpeed emulates this technology by translating the speed via racetrack, a top stunt driver, and an incredible supercar.

Are you kidding me?! Only 200 cars for a game like this? And with the car packs we get 6 months, right? 10 cars each, that's only 60 cars. Wtf. Forza 4 had 400 on disc if I remember correctly.

I got to play forza 5 on the xbone today! The feedback in the l and r triggers is pretty badass. I raced the mclaren mp12-4c or whatever it's called around Laguna Seca.

Pretty cool, you feel it when on the gas and definitely on the brakes, and it varied in its pulsing from fast pulsing to slower pulsing. I've never driven a race car but it felt like it was a good representation of what it'd feel like hitting the brakes going into a corner.

I think it's a killer feature for the xbone.

 

Graphics wise I'd say there's a bout a 25-30% improvement in quality. I've never played forza 4 only 3 (extensively) but there was a noticeable improvement.

I played it at the Microsoft kiosk in my local mall so if you got one nearby check it out.

On another positive note, I'm 131 points from Tier 5.

Got into Season 3 in Forza 3 last night and got Driver Level 25. But I have NO money now. I had to buy an R3 car to race in the weekend shit.

 

My girlfriend's brother got FM3 and I bought a bunch of cars for him, but the servers were down, so now I'm stuck with a bunch of stock cars I don't want.
