I think he's parted ways with Konami for good. I mean, the good news here is that the storyline and gameplay would more or less be done for us and so, there's nothing innovative Konami needs to do other than up the graphics? Dunno...just speculating.

 

Correct. Kojima will have no input as he doesn't own the IP. I think Konami even said they would handle his legacy with care but

 

Konami has been super lame since Kojima left. Maybe this is their attempt to try to relaunch Metal Gear.

 

Yeah, they have not had anything of note for awhile. Talk about how the mighty have fallen -- the company that brought us Contra, Castlevania, Metal Gear...

Cutscenes look amazing. Kojima would've done a better trailer though. I still get chills watching the MGS PP one.

 

I really wish they could've found more stories and games for Solid Snake beyond Shadow Moses and maybe other missions -- before he got afflicted with the aging problem.
