XBOX wireless network adapter

Anyone wanna recommend a good one that's not too expensive? I'm tired of disconnecting my xbox and bringing it to the same room as the router...

D-Link, Netgear, and Linksys all make a wireless bridge that will work with the xbox. go to techbargains.com or something to find a cheap one.

Like cmark said, any wireless bridge that is compatible with your wireless router will work. I got a dlink on ebay for 30.00 a while back and works great with my BEFW11S4. I have it connected to a hub, which connects to the XBOX and my DirecTiVo

suxor.... so if I have a ps2, xbox, and a pc in one room... I can hook them all to a 5 port hub, hook the hub to a wireless bridge, and all three machines can connect to my wireless network?

Yes. Each will get it's own IP address. Your bridge isn't actually getting an IP, the machines behind it are.

Don't get the Linksys one if you plan on using encryption on your network. The xbox doesn't "recognize" it when its plugged in, so you can't go in and change the wireless settings on your xbox. Therefore it won't work if encryption is turned on. If you don't plan on using encryption, then its not a bad deal, its like 20 or 30 bucks cheaper than the microsoft adapter and it works pretty well. I haven't had any problems with lag or anything(and for security I just use Mac filtering)

I have a Dlink wireless bridge (802.11b) I have it plugged into a 5 port Linksys switch and the Xbox shares the adapter with my Tivo. Both work great. No lag at all on the Xbox. So "g" is not needed. If you have a "g" router and other "g" devices you should get a "g" bridge though so you don't screw up your access point.

Yeah, I don't like LinkSys bridges. Always had problems. I have 128-bit encryption and MAC filtering and no lag with the DLINK. Hate the blinky eyes though....
