I feel like im missing out on gt4!! i played part 1 and 2 on psx and i thought the game was awesome... ive been out of the console gaming loop for about 2-3 years and i came back with an Xbox...

i know i made a good choice... i enjoy every moment of halo2, mechassult, splinter cell...etc BUT you PS2 fukkers now have gt4 and im jealous!!!

is this game worth me buying a ps2 now???

do us xboxes have any alternative??? :hopless sigh:

well as you surely know, you have Forza Motorsport coming out in May - I think you should hold off and check that out - nobody truly knows how good it is going to be. If you find that it meets your expectations, well then you're fine - if not, then you may have to buy a PS2

depends on how much you like cars. you seem to like gt1 & gt2... I think you'll probably need to buy a ps2.

GT4 (and the others GT's) are boring for me. It's almost as bad as NASCAR....

I just bought a game called Burnout 3 - Takedown, that game is awesome, I am addicted....

 

GT4 >* nuff said, go get it and the steering wheel.

no flames needed - just the truth:

Burnout falls in the same category as Tokyo Extreme Racer, Ridge Racer, Sega GT, etc. They are arcade racing games. Enjoyable? Yes. Realistic? No.

I myself have Burnout 3 and have enjoyed it - but you just can't talk about that game and GT4 in the same sentence. You are an arcade racing fan. We are (console) sim-racing fans. End of story.

I do like the crashes in Burnout, they are quite bad ass. But the handling and physics are pure arcade.

I bought a ps2 for all the games that aren't on xbox. Tekken 5, GT4, etc.
I got mine used off craigslist. You will be able to find some good deals on there

oh yeah the car models in the Burnout series are absolutely putrid. They don't have licenses for the real cars so what do they do? Create pseudo-looking cars that look awful. You can kinda tell that they were trying to make what was a Viper, or Supra, Mustang, or whatever, but not quite... not quite at all. Quite awful.

but, arcade racing peeps have a tendency to not really mind (or even notice) these kind of glaring shortcomings...
