WTF? Xbox 360 Media Center

Help! I installed the correct Xbox 360 Media Center setup to sync my laptop with my 360, but can't get it to work properly.

When I go into Media Center on my 360, it goes to this black screen where the Media Center says: "Connecting...." with those dots on the bottom that represent the status bar.

After about a minute or so the black screen goes away, and then it says:

Session Terminated

Another user or application on the Windows Media Center-based PC has disconnected the device.

When I go to Test Media Connection, "Network Adapter" and "IP Address" are ok, but the "PC Selected" failed.

I checked and all the TCP/UDP ports are open on my computer, but I still can't connect to the 360. how do I know if my network is 802.11a or whatever?

I have Windows Media Connect installed and sharing is enabled with my console btw. and Media Center is open on my computer while I'm doing all of this.

please help, i can't watch porn on my TV!

What version of media center are you running? 2004 or 2005?

^^I disabled Trend Micro firewall and the Windows one.

^2005 edition.

The problem now is that the network tuner doesn't have good connection performance. It always stays at the lowest bar, then it goes up to 2 bars then it goes back down again. And I'm sitting right in front of my 360!

Mine is doing the same thing, and I am hard wired to my pc and xbox. I had a page from windows that took you step by step to fix this but it didnt help me any. I found some files from Microsoft spyware program (the one with the icon that looks like a bull eye(darts, not animal) that where not letting it connect. But I uninstalled whole software and still giving me same problem. I will post link in here.. brb/
