Cool Wii: Punch-Out!!

Nintendo is reviving one of its most storied and popular franchises with the first new Punch-Out!! boxing game in 15 years. Players will once again follow the exploits of the up-and-coming challenger, Little Mac, and take on a series of opponents, including favorites from the past like Glass Joe and King Hippo.

Wii owners ther is an exclusive video with game play on the nintendo channel as of yesterday and all i can say is very true to the original and from what i gather it has at leat 3 ways to play wiimote waggle for attacks turn sided ways and old school it with the buttons only or wiimote and nunchuck for throwing full punches

Anyone else know this was out?

Saw it today at Target. Went over to TRU and used a gift card I had on it.

Its pretty cool, You can use the Wii Balance board which makes it really hard.

I just ordered it for my son (about an hour ago, via amazon.com, no bad ratings there about it), looks good. Plus he's never played the original one.

He's in for a treat! Show him the old one too so he knows just how far video games have come in those 20 years or so since the last game was out

Great game!

For anyone who has it, here is a hint.

If you knock your opponent down, tap the 1 and 2 buttons (like when you get knocked down). You will gain back energy.

Also, if you get the knocked out (not TKO from 3 knock downs), tap the 1 and 2 and you might be able to get back up!

I got my copy the other day. Used full on controls with nunchuck and balence bord. Makes things VERY interesting. Every thing responds pretty nice the only downside is using the balence board to duck and dodge can really drain your enery. After about 5 fights I was down for the count. and im in shape!

not much else to say if you liked punch out! go for it I wish they would have added online multiplayer but oh well.

I have this sitting on the fridge, won't give it to my son until tomorrow night. He's not allowed to play video games on school days.

How's the replay value? With so few fighters I'm concerned.

i think it is good... in exhibition mode there are different goals for you to try and meet... so it makes it a bit more challenging than just trying to beat the guy...

and once you beat everyone once and become champion... you are essentially defending your title and you fight harder versions of everyone...
