Many reviewers are claiming this is the best Zelda to date; beating out Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time (which is blasphemy).

Already pre-ordered: gonna have to dust off the Wii, pick up my golden wii-mote and go to town on this one.

got my email from amazon its on the way. but i wont get it anytime soon cuz i was worried that the release might get pushed back so i had them ship it to the boat. : ( but i did get the gold wiimote plus

 

Logged about 10 hours into the game, and man I've broken my cheap wooden shield atleast a dozen times.

Motion control is pretty cool actually: I like swinging the wii-mote with my right hand for sword fighting, and lifting up the nunchuk to pull the shield up to block, and then punching to do a shield bash.

I do look pretty ridiculous when I raise my wii-mote above my head to do the Skyward Strike.

Too early to say if this beats out LttP or OoT for me, but the biggest worry I had before getting the game (motion control) is turning out to be the most fun/innovative feature so far.

 

Yeah I'm a bit puzzled that so many reviewers are saying it's better than Ocarina of Time Of course I haven't played it, so... if it's as good as Twilight Princess, then that's good

Man.. I'm getting this for my gf for christmas

 

I want this SO badly. I decided a while ago that I wouldn't ever play video games again regularly in hopes of not turning into a social recluse. I think I'll make an exception for the Zelda franchise.

 

I always make the exception for Zelda and Mario.

 

First it's Zelda, then Mario, then Elder Scrolls..... it keeps cascading how do I stop?!?!

 

I would say they're equal. I love OoT, probably replayed it more times than I needed to. Skyward Sword definitely has more replay value than TP for me.

 

has anyone here played hero mode yet? hands down this is the most difficult zelda combat wise (some of the puzzles were pretty ticky too) and when i beat it i found out there was a way to make it harder i love zelda but i always wanted to make combat more challenging even by not getting the heart containters wont really make most zelda games that much harder.

also this boss fight was the best and officially my fav final boss fight. before it was windwaker before that oot


oh by the way if you have a modified wii that allows for cheat codes there is a hard-mode cheat for twilight princess that definatly steps things up a notch
