I'm a huge Nintendo fan. I used to have a PS1 but I went through 2 of them. The laser eye(for the CD) keep on burning up or something wouldn't read the CD. and I thought well if they build them this sh1tty i won't give them my business. I went to a local game store(one of those trade and buy new ones) he said it was a pretty common problem with the PS1. he suggested to go with the Gamecube.I did. but now since the PS3 coming soon, plus the XBOX 2 coming soon Nintendo gotta step up to the plate or they'll be left behind. my only complaint is the game choices in gamecube vs others. like GT4, GTA and others only offered XBOX or PS2.

 

:whocares: Gamecube blowz when comapred too XBox and PS2. Sorry man but shouldn't be playing Gamecube unless you are under 12.

 

the next Nintendo console is rumored to be called Revolution. whether or not is acutally comes out and get decent games is another argument.

 

gamecube doesnt blow ihave a ps2 and a gc i only bought th gc for the nintedo based games (mario sunshine,metroid prime, zelda, f-zero gx) but ive never had a problem with the system unlike my ps2 that i have to open and clean every three months if i want to use it

 

Nintendo should think about getting out of the (tv) console market and focus on developing games for PS2 and XBOX. Sort of like what SEGA did.

 

Gamecube has its moments, but usually the games that are shared among consoles, Gamecube is usually the lowest rated. Now, with games like RE-4, it just shows you how much potential the little cube really has. Has everyone seen this game? It has to be the best looking game on any console right now, in my opinion. I have not played it, but it looks pretty sick. Nintendo does a good job with the younger audience, but it still needs a push to get to the adults.

 

I like GC for what it is.

I didn't buy it expecting to play Mature games on it.

Its geared towards kids, or 27 year old morons who haven't grown up (like me).

The only games I really stick to are the classic titles. Marios Zeldas Mega Man, Street Fighters ect.

 

I got a gamecube because I am a big nintendo fan and yea they have a lot of kids games, but they are fun to play with. I have RESIDENT EVIL 4 and it is freakin awesome and probably is the best looking game as of right now. The next console from nintendo is code name "Revolution" and it will be appearing at E3 with all the other next gen console. There is a lot of anticipation for this console because if it fails, then we see another SEGA.
BTW, gamecube is not just for kids it's for everyone .

 

gamecube is great. SSBM is still a crapload of fun, and all the classic titles that come out for the system are great too. I really want to Pick up RE4 also.

 

RE4 is said to be the best game of 05 outside of GT4 per EGM. So far 06 is the target for new systems but they'll probably (and hopefully) get pushed back. I think Xbox 2 is closest.

 

I bought the Gamecube on launch day (midnight and everything), and I don't remember the last time I played it......seriously, it's covered in dust. I might break it open for RE4, but I have to have the motivation to do so.

 

The moment you start playing RE4 you will never let down your controller, even in the cutscene.
