Question What's up with the lack of Acura love in racing games?

Ignoring the obvious NSXs that get included in a fair amount of games, there really aren't that many Acuras in racing games. Is this a licensing issue? If so, why doesn't it also affect the NSX? There's more than 1 race-able Acura! I'll admit I'm mainly just salty that the last game with a CL-S was like Gran Turismo 6 or something, but still, 2 Acuras in Need for Speed Heat is ridiculous!

I would argue other than the NSX, there hasn't been a raceable Acura since before many of the kiddies now playing those games were born. In the world of racing (virtual or real), the Acura marque is pretty much irrelevant.

Outside of the NSX and Integra Type-R, there haven’t really been any motorsport-oriented models.

Honda usually has decent representation, at least.

I think the manufacturer is to blame more than the video game publishers.

(Too many people to quote so I wont bother lol)
Yeah it's a shame that Acura isn't that impressive in today's racing world. I still think they could add some less impressive Acuras as starter cars, haha. I think developers sometimes include the RSX in addition to the NSX and Integra, but it normally ends there.

And yeah, at least Honda has good representation!

Acura ARX05 and NSX GT3 actually both had outstanding IMSA season in 2019, but these aren't Le Mans or WEC, no one gives a flying fuck about them. I doubt you will ever see those Acura racecars in any racing games anytime soon.

I'd love to see more of the Acura lineup in games (RDX A-Spec, TLX A-Spec, Type-S concept), given Acura's focus on being "driver's cars"! The problem I see is simulating the incredibly-advanced chassis control systems (SH-AWD, P-AWS and agile handling assist) in-game. The games that have the new NSX don't even try, and I feel that they're missing the point...
