Got a wii for xmas and recieved super mario galaxy. Well I don't really have an interest in this game so i'm going to throw it up on ebay. What should I be looking at?

Zelda:TP was my first ever zelda game and was epic. I hate RPG's too, because they're so long but this game was def worth it, I couldnt put it down at times. I've just started Mario Galaxy after hearing all the rave reviews and its been a great game as well. Mario strikers is super fun with a group of friends. I've had some pretty heated matches. It can get pretty chaotic with people flying around clocking opponents to prevent them from pulling off charged shots on the goal. Wario Ware is simple, fun for a large group of people but can get old quick, I’d get if it was cheaper. Ghost Squad and RE:UC are both “light gun” shooter games. Great for mindless fun and just about anyone can pick it up and start playing, goes great with the wii zapper and both games are < $30. Super paper Mario was fun if you like platformers. The whole “turning into the 3D” world is a nice addition. I heard metroid was really good as well but I haven’t had a chance to get into it yet. Guitar Hero is awesome and all the bitches love to try to play that shit, but if you have a 360, I’d recommend getting it for that instead (or just get rockband)

But the #1 thing I’d recommend to get is a modchip :gheylaugh: Free games and emulator support, but you mentioned that you just got a wii and the new ones have an updated motherboard that makes it much harder to mod so

 

There is a gam coming out next that week for the wii that may make me buy the system just for this game.... it is called classic british racing.

It is going to have the MG, Austin, mini, etc.... and the best of all a Triumph TR6.

 

first of all, to throw mario galaxy to the wayside is just plain stupid. im older than you and i was not very excited about the game but i did get it and it is FANTASTIC!! it is better than Zelda Twilight princess...it moves faster, the graphics are far better, its less frustrating, its FAR more inovative (twilight princess is a great game, dont get me wrong, but lets call it what it is..its about the 4th remake in a row of Zelda Ocarina of time...same friggin game, same powerups, same worlds, same dungeons, same goals....its gotten old.

You wont be sorry you played mario galaxy...take that to the bank.


other than that, Metroid Prime 3 is spectacular, Rayman Ravin Rabbids 1 and 2 are the most insane, ridiculous and laugh out loud funny party games ive ever seen. You wont even beleive the ridiculous things youll be doing....pulling worms out of a rabbits rotting teeth for example? or how about preventing out-house doors from opening which reveal rabbits grunting and shitting on the toilet bowl? fucking great games!!

 

You should try Mario Galaxy, it is the highest rated game on the wii, I think you'll be surprised.

But you would also like Resident Evil 4 and Metroid Prime 3. I've also heard Godfather on the wii it pretty good. And MLB Power Pros is fun.

 

yea I'm playing Mario galaxy right now, its quite entertaining. so far i have 30 stars and have a few more to get in the kitchen.

It is a little childish feeling but whatever its fun.

Mario is my favorite, Zelda was good but I lost interest at temple 7, just too much work to play that. thats about it for me.

 

Metroid but play 1 and 2 with a Gamecube controller first. I hear RE4 is better for the Wii than the GC. I want to check that one out but I think I'll get Metroid 3 next. Wanna play a good Zelda game? Get the classic controller and play Zelda 3.

Mario Party 8 rocks, trauama center is fun but the Super Smash Bros comes out soon I can not wait.

dang, i got to get back at playing Mario Galaxy again, I took a 2.5 week hiatus after I beat the game with 64 stars. then i need another 56 to go to another world.

ive played a total of about 9 hours and im up to 38 stars. fucking love this game!!! i was going to go into work wednesday but took off just to play this game. best single player wii game to date, best graphics and sound in a wii game to date. its a shame that so many wii games look like shit when this game CLEARLY proves that the wii can produce respectable graphics. not 360 / ps3 level but definately respectable.

Yea, Galaxy is by far my favorite game for the wii. As everyone said the graphics, gameplay, sound, storyline is incredible. Definitely be prepared to get addicted to that game the minute you start playing it. Im up to about 50 or so stars at this point and im not even 3/4 of the way done with the game. I also have RE 4 which I havent opened yet, RE Umbrella Chronicles which I beat 2 player on easy, Strikers is another one of my favorites to play with a friend. I also have metroid prime 3, medal of honor 2, need for speed pro street(kinda sucks for the wii) and a couple of other games I cant think of besides for the obvious wii sports and wii play. Also definitely go out and get the wii zapper, I got 2 of em and they were well worth the money spent to play RE UC, MOH2 and gonna pick up that game Ghost Squad next week

Those are the games that I've played and recommend. I had Paper Mario, Rayman, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, and Wario Ware. I'm not sure who wrote down "Cooking Mama" ... are you serious? I played it and it's retarded.

 

just fired up zack and wiki for the 1st time this weekend and the GF and I played for over 4hrs straight. Sleeper title of 07, game is amazing and makes you think. After you solve the puzzles you get a great sense of satisfaction and relief.

I wanted to gamfaqs that shit so many times but the GF kept saying that she wanted to figure it out on her own

 

i finally beat Mario galaxy with 105 stars, now i need to collect the remaining 15

i unfortunately had to gamefaq how to beat bowser on the 1st round because i just stood there the entire time on what to do for about 45 minutes.

once i figured it out, i was for being so stupid.

 

I still haven't opened Galaxy, i'm not convinced it's the game for me.


My Wii will really only be used when I have buddies over, and then I really only see us playing sports games. I rented rockstar Ping Pong, not a big fan of that either.

But we have been playing the hell out of WiiSports, esp. bowling. Bowled my highest round 2 days ago 218

 

I got one for Christmas too, very fun shit. The woman got me a Wii and WiiPlay, which has a bunch of mini games -- the Billiards is pretty cool. I'm in the same boat as you though, I stood in Best Buy for 20 minutes last night trying to figure out what game to buy, and walked out empty handed. I played Mario Galaxy in the store for 5 minutes, quickly realized its definitely not the game for me. Since you're 2/5 homo you might enjoy it a little more than I did. As far as I know there aren't any good driving games out for it yet. I hear Resident Evil 4 is supposed to be really good, but BB didn't have it. If you find a game you like let me know.

 

dude, its a 50 dollar game...dont pussy foot around....its 50 bucks!! open the game up, play it for an hour and just TRY to convince yourself you arent hooked and dont want to continue playing the damn thing thru the end. as i mentioned earlier in the thread..i was also on the fence about this game but god damn am i glad i have it, im taking the damn thing on a business trip tomorrow for an overnighter just so i can play at the hotel.

I saw some wii game by Midway at target for 30 bucks today. It was bargames like air hockey, darts, and what not. seemed like a wiiplay type deal, looks like it might be kinda cool.

Wiiplay is probly one of the worst games I have for the wii...if you want mini games get something like wii carnival or unless like just stated, your just bidding on it for the other remote

Mario glaxy is really fun trippy as hell

mario and sonic olympics is fun if you like track events its always fun beating up your friends in a long jump or fencing(you might want to rent it first to justify buying it)
I like it personally

Rayman rabbits is fun as well espcailly the bunny shooting games like a cheesey but fun first person shooter.

Striker mario is fun soccer game style fun multiplayer pretty confusing when you add in all the items.

Mario party 8 is alright the minigames are watered down comapred to the classics.

 

get mario strikers...its a fun soccer game thats multiplayer. Its sorta a cross between mario kart and a mario themed soccer game. When I say mario kart, I mean in the aspect by being able to use objects such as turtle shells, mushrooms, stars etc to keep your opponents from advancing or to help aid you in scoring....no cars involved obviously
Also I heard good things about that rabbit game or somethin like that? Its a bunch of multiplayer mini games. You can always wait till super smash bros comes out in Feb also...thats a game that should be fun for 2 players...ive never played the originals but since everyone is making such a big stink about it I put it on pre order about a month ago

 

whatup jeff? Yea, Galaxy is def trippy...my friend was playing it all drunk one night and due to the no gravity laws on some of the levels he got mad sick and almost threw up all over his room lol. I wont be lettin him play any wii games all drunk at my house, thats for sure lol.

umbrella chronicles is fun but fucking hard, even on easy. i can't get past the third level.
i probably just suck though.

game party is a good game, not excellent, but i'm glad i have it. i recommend getting it for group play. my friend and i have been playing it a lot. it's not as easy to pick up and play as wii sports.
darts is the most fun.
shuffleboard is surprisingly fun.
hoop shoot is impossible, i've made like one shot.
"ping cup" is okay.
table hockey is too hard, but i can see it being more fun as i get better.
"skill ball" is okay.
trivia is trivia.


mario galaxy isn't my kind of game. got it as a gift, waited a few days to try it. it's more fun than i expected, but it's going to be way too time consuming. i try to watch the clock when i'm playing so i don't burn a few hours.
