I had never heard of this game until one of my friends deeply into the gaming world told me to check it out. He showed me some trailers that caught my attention. Looked pretty appealing to me.

Anyhow, none of my friends or work buddies have this game or know much about it. In one of the reviews I watched, they mentioned Gears of War which I liked a lot.

What do you guys think?

But, has anyone played this game first-hand? Just trying to get a feel for whether this is a rental or it's worth buying. Gotta check if the local Blockbuster's have it.

 

I have the game for ps3. I was debating whether to get it for the 360 or ps3 but decided to go w/ the ps3 because i really have no games for it. Anyway, if you've played Gears of War then you'll dig this game a lot. Many gaming sites and magazines rated it around 7.0-8.0 and i think it's because the game doesn't really provide advancements in the Third Person SHooter Genre. Rther it just continues what other games have brought i.e. Gears of War. I haven't beaten the game because GTA caught my attention but from what i played it's pretty dope. The main weapon in the game is the "glaive" which is a boomerang type weapon. You can throw it and maneuver it using the motion sensing option or simply controlling it with the dual joysticks. Throughout the game that same weapon will advance as you pick up suit cases that provide you power ups. Anyway, if i were to give you my rating for the game i'd say it's about an 8.0/10. It's not a revolutionary game but if you dig shooters like i do then you'll like this game for sure.

Thanks for the review bro. I am definitely going to rent it. I considered buying it on fleBay for the But It Now price of $42 shipped. I'll try it out first.
