I already have a Wii U - bought it for one game and one game only. But there will be more releases that grab my interest, I hope.

Will be getting a PS4 as well.

 

Forgot to mention - the one game I bought a Wii U for was Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate... 200+ hours into it already.

For PS4 I'm really excited for Killzone, Drive Club and infamous. May be pre-rendered, but they all look goddamn amazing.

 

I have always had an Xbox, but with the newest Xbox One announcements, I'm really considering switching to the PS4.

 

MS with Kinect patent for the MPAA is enough to have me just say no to their next offering. add to that the weaker system performance and the basic inability to buy used games....

This time Nintendo got my vote.

^ E3 is not going to change my stance on the One. I do not want any company counting people that I have watching a movie and then turning it off becausae too many people are present.

 

Good point. But a few of my friends already made the decision, independent of one another. We shall see what unfolds in a couple of weeks.

 

I think regardless of e3 and final details I'll wait a couple of years for the kinks and prices to get worked out. Already been burned by a PS3 YLOD that I fixed. Plus bought a 2nd PS3 and there are a ton of games from this generation that I've yet to play.

 

Xbox over Ps any day

 

Not upgrading any time soon (read: years)...right now I have four games I own I haven't touched, five more I want to buy, and at least two more coming out I want to get. But when I do upgrade, I'll get the PS4. I prefer the exclusives for PS over the ones for Xbox. The upgrade will most likely come from a game I want coming out for PS4, just like when I got the PS3.

 

The things the companies seem to be worried about and building towards have pretty much given me a excuse to give up on gaming. Perhaps I should thank them for helping me grow up.

now that Microsoft and Sony have had their console presentations, has anyone changed their minds or had them made up yet?

 

I'd probably get an xbox one in 2-3 years? As i see it my 360 is good enough for my casual gaming needs

 

and the ps4 requires a plus membership to play games online... all those haters for xbl can for the most part shut up now, assuming you like playing multiplayer online. If not then its better since you have access to netflix still.

 

The other big knock against Sony is that when you purchase a game through digital download, you can only play that game while your PS4 is connected to the internet, apparently.

but the X1 seems to lack console exclusives I'm interested in. I've had an Xbox and a 360 and haven't purchased a Sony console since the PS2, but all that is changing now.

With this leap in console graphics I may relegate my PC to shooters/RTS/MMO genres.

 

Will probably be buying my first Sony console next gen. PS4 is cheaper and has used games so that wins me over. Those exclusives make it hard not to get Xbox as well, but spending $1K on gaming consoles is a bit much.

Not getting any of those any time soon. But based on that comparison list, I'll have to lean towards the PS4 solely because of the used game restrictions on the XBOX. I don't buy games new or for full price anymore. If I ever buy a new game its on sale ($30 - $40) or its many months after the release and the price has dropped. If I want it sooner I buy it used from Ebay. $60 is too much to pay for most games that end up sucking and/or only lasting 6 hours.

 

The PS4 seems like the better option at this point but I'm sure I will buy both the PS4 and the Xbox one when they both come out. There are games on both that I like to play.

 

Well, I'm getting both.

Sony is looking more appealing, and I especially liked playing their exclusives on PS3. Specifically, Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance and God of War.

And as for Xbox...I just love Xbox too much. I've been with them for over 10 years. And their exclusives are equally attractive. Whether it's an all-in-one entertainment console for a family or a console of the next generation, I think it has a lot to deliver. I'm not losing hope in Microsoft.

 

Keeping my ps3 longer. Rocksmith 2 but eventually I have to play MGS5

 

Not a fan of having to be PS+ to play online, but at least with plus you get free games. And they do give away some good ones, especially just before E3 each year. You'll easily get over $50 worth of games in a year. XBL just gives you online access. So yeah, XBL still sucks.

 

I been an Xbox/Xbox 360 person for over a decade, but at first glance, the PS4 looks more appealing.

So correct me if i'm wrong. Used games through gamestop and those types of retailers are going to be fine. But through ebay its probably not going to work right??

I wonder if MS may implement some form or something so you can transfer the game to another account and take it off yours thats not the "lending it to a friend that has been on your xbl for 30 days"

 

Ive had every major console and handheld since 88. Use Nintendo for classics but i wont buy wii u since my wii and games are still sealed since Xmas 09'. Playstation is the only console I've ever owned (1-3) that has never givin me a problem (beside the big hack a couple years ago)

I've had a 360 since they came out. I absolutely love it.

From what I've seen thus far, I will be getting a PS4. Something insanely awesome has to happen to Forza 5/Xbone to make me change my mind.

 

Same here. I have a 360 and PS3. The PS3 has been collecting dust, but I will only get the PS4 this time. I already have a DVR, which pretty much is the only advantage the Xbox One has over the PS4.
