16 pounds yikes, And i thought the 17 inch powerbook was heafty, the word battleship comes to mind.

Really though, why not just build a pc at that point, I can't imagine that being much more convinient than bringing a box and a monitor to a lan part.

I personally wouldn't mind owning this

it's damn big and heavy, but it is definitely still more portable than a desktop.

I know it's meant for gaming, but damn I kinda was assuming it would have WUXGA+ 1920x1200 screen...

http://www.voodoopc.com/promo.aspx?promoID=6

AMD Turion ML/MT CPU | nForce4 core logic w/gigabit Ethernet + MiniPCI expansion 19" WSXGA+ 1680x1050 LCD display | Dual GeForce G70M "Ultra" 256MB graphics 8 Channel Surround Sound - 4 embedded speakers w/ SUBwoofer
I wonder how much it'll cost.. I would guess around $4-5k.

Might as well just get a big-ass UPS and haul your desktop around.

I'd own one, you can always buy another laptop that is lighter, smaller and more portable. I think of it as "more to my collection."

i thought the idea of laptop was portability.....geez 19" screen, pretty soon they will have a 24" widescreen.....30" widescreen laptop.....kinda defeats the name "laptop"

I'd really like to see a laptop bag for one of these. I had trouble finding a bag to fit my Sony in with a 17" screen.
