16 pounds yikes, And i thought the 17 inch powerbook was heafty, the word battleship comes to mind.
Really though, why not just build a pc at that point, I can't imagine that being much more convinient than bringing a box and a monitor to a lan part.

I personally wouldn't mind owning this 
it's damn big and heavy, but it is definitely still more portable than a desktop.
I know it's meant for gaming, but damn I kinda was assuming it would have WUXGA+ 1920x1200 screen...

I wonder how much it'll cost.. I would guess around $4-5k.
