Video card help suggestions wanted
So guys i've been out of the game with video cards maybe you can fill me in with ideas.
I've came from a geforce 7800 gt and sli it. Gave that up when i could only run one screen and my brothers video card failed.
I now using a geforce 7900 gtx. So i'm debating to jump to a used 8800 gtx for around 100 or so (7900 gtx was 90 bucks from an azine member =))
So i want to hand my brother down the 7900 gtx since his card is having trouble.
Any opinions i was never a person that wanted spend more than 200 on a video card, but with the new cards these days i don't know what i should be looking at. I do play a fair amount of games, and waiting to try some new ones.
Oh i found out my ageia physx card that a friend got me doesnt work for the 7 series so another reason why i wanted to go to an 8 series or up.

yeah, I would grab it. I think it would work well for ya...
Make sure your running a 600 watt power supply at a minimum. You might be able to get by with a 500 watt, but I would recommend it be a good brand like Antec or Corsair.
CPU should be AMD 5600 or better..not sure on the Intel cause I don't run Intel stuff.

A single Geforce 8800 GTX outperforms two GF 7900 in SLI... Awesome power.
The Geforce 9 series is really just a refresh of the 8 series. For example, the 9800 GT is really a refreshed 8800 GT (with die shrink and better power management). The 9800 GTX is an overclocked 8800 GTS.
I think right now, the best performance value is the GF 9800 series or the Radeon HD4700 if you are planning on buying new.
Since you are debating buying used, the GF 8800 is a competent card. The GF 2xx series significantly outpaces it, but the 8800/9800 cards will run pretty much any game out there right now. Besides, your other components will probably be a bigger bottleneck.
Finally, the newer GF cards (8 series and up) have onboard Ageia PhyX processing. Your standalone physics card is redundant.
