Twitch.tv

So this may be a bit more 'nerdy' than some of you are willing to admit but has anyone else heard of www.twitch.tv?

Since this winter has been rough I started playing counter-strike again. CS:GO in particular. Which is a version I had not yet played.

I guess the big thing now is to broadcast yourself playing and or "announcing" competitive matches. Back in the day I would have considered myself a "professional" cs player. So watching the best play the new game is fun.

Anyway, much to my surprise when I logged on to twitch, there are TONS of games you can spectate. I mean even Zelda, Mario, etc! Crazy!

The Xbox One will or does support live streaming...the PS4 uses another service.

It's pretty cool. Lol. Super nerdy but I've been enjoying it.

So I've been paying attention to different "streams" on Twitch. And by my calculations a few of the girls are bringing in $50/hr just playing CS and streaming themselves.

Told my wife she's doing it. Lol

I have a capable laptop, but the screen is dying.
i need to figure out a way where the laptop doesnt take up too much room, while having an external monitor.

i did look into steam and cs:Go over the weekend.
i dont mind paying the 15 bucks or however much it cost to play.
just need to figure out external monitor solution

Wait, it goes on sale all the time. I didn't even buy mine a friend did because it was like $3/$4 on sale. If I see that I'll buy it for you.

And yea it doesn't take much power to run. Source engine is old. And CS is best played with ultra low settings anyway.
