Anyone check it out yet? I finally downloaded it last night and it's interesting.

Periscope is a live streaming video app made by Twitter. Anyone can quickly and easily broadcast from their phone (iOS and android) what they're seeing, and people can watch and comment, the person livestreaming can see the comments as they come in and respond immediately. No nudity though.

I think why it was made is to cover events in real time. Twitter and youtube played a big role and spreading info about the Arab Spring a few years back and this would be a great tool for during times like that about showing what's really going on around the world in real time.

And if you follow someone you can watch their recent livestreams even after they're over, but if you want to comment you need to be watching while they're streaming. I guess it's sort of like Twitch.tv but for smartphones.

Though of course it also has it's stupid sides. Most of the content is random nonsense right now and if you watch a stream that has a girl in it at least half the comments will be some moron asking her to show her boobs.

Though Suicide girls has a stream that they let some of their models take over, nonstop comments for boobs on those streams though. Thankfully I learned how to hide comments.

I think it'll be an important tool for covering big events as they happen, so you can see more than just what media decides to show you

 

I've used it a couple times. Some celebs do Q&A which could be cool if you're into that shit

Its also used for concerts, parties and things of that nature

There is too many pervs on there. It reminded me of that girl walking around NYC for 10 hours video. Every stream I saw with a girl in it had way too many people asking for tits.

I watched a random stream yesterday of some lady in Florida sitting on her couch showing off her dogs. It's got maybe 5 people watching it it but the only guy commenting was asking her to show herself instead and saying that she's beautiful and to show her panties. The fuck?
