Finally got Shadow of the Colossus last night...MAN!!! I can't believe I almost missed out on this one! It's very pretty, but fighting the colossi is really cool! I have gotten thru the first two and they were a piece of cake...but I've heard not only do they get much harder, but you can find lizards and stuff that improve your grip??? Where do you find these suckers?

The first fight is friggin awesome the way its set up. He is simple to beat, but the first time you see it walk past you and turn around to look at you, its crazy.

Those little lizards are scattered all over the world, they are near impossible to see while riding on the horse. I had no clue that they did anything honestly, is that what they do??

Shadow of Colossus which is the sequel to ICO which is a cult hit now. But I never play Shadow of Colossus but hearing about it I might pick it up.

 

You usually find the lizards near the temples you encounter, they are scattered all over the place. You can also knock down fruit with your bow to increase life, but that's not usually a big deal.

I'm pretty sure lizards increase your max life or grip... something of the sort. Anyhow, this is one of my favorite PS2 games. Rumor is there's some sort of sequel planned for the PS3. If that's the case, the game will be amazing.

yes indeed...i am on the 6th one now, or rather, trying to find the 6th one...the first boss sucked me in, and everyone after that has been getting tougher...very good, but definitely not for the types who live on melee action...i have collected a few lizard tails, but how do you redeem them for more grip??? that's what's been killing me...my grip meter runs out so fast..

 

Glad you are enjoying the game. The ending will make almost zero sense to you until you play ICO though, still a sick ending either way

Oh, and just like some movies, dont shut the game off after the credits.

 

i have read enough of Ico to know that the hero is the horned boy and that the main character in sotc had sired that whole race of boys? and the reason why they are horned is because of what this guy did in sotc...right? did I lose anything there? and yeah, still trying to figure out how to take advanatge of those lizards...

 

as soon as you pick up the lizards you're grip is immediately increased...hard to notice from just a few lizards but when you collect a lot you'll notice how much bigger your grip meter is.

also, the fruits from the fruit trees are the same. as soon as you pick up the fruit, your health meter immediately increases.

 

ah ha! fruits and lizards ftw! btw, the 8th one sucked...
