none of the stores I've been to that carries them has one out for you to try, so I dont even know if I would like it. I had GBA and it was cool for a few weeks, but then the games just started sucking. PSP has NFS, Metal Gear, all the games that I like to play now. I may wait until I find one on Ebay for cheaper than $250.00. I hate buying new electronics when they first come out. I didnt even get PS2 until a year after it came out

there are more racing games available for PSP than I had thought... but damn, are they expensive.. I mean, $49.99 for NFS? For a portable system??? I just think they should be like, $25 or so. Or at the most $30. Not $50. I mean I seriously think they would sell more - like a lot more - if they reduced the price a bit...

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categorie...ub_dept=Racing

damn, ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails looks quite good... of course, I have ATV 1 & 2 for PS2 as well... I know it's not exactly comparable, but still... something is weird about that... I feel like I would be buying the game "again"...

Well, if you think you'll play it... go for it.

I travel quite a bit and was thinking about selling my unopened 20gb iPod and getting one. Then I decided against that.... but now that I know the PSP will work as a wireless controller on the PS3.... I'm leaning back toward selling the iPod for one.....

Cool. I guess Ebay would be the cheapest internet site to get one? I dont think any stores are any cheaper than $250 yet right? The ebgames deal was pretty good, PSP and 3 games for $379.

Played a friends PSP a couple of weeks ago...it was impressive....but in the end I decided I wouldn't play it all that much. I like my big screen too much for games vs the PSP small screen.

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee

I played 2 or 3 other iterations and am hooked on it. Probably logged 50+ hours in the last 2 weeks.

ahh.. I could see how that might be fun.. hmm.

all I know is driving games aren't particularly fun to play on the PSP due to the nature of its controls... I have Twisted Metal and Wipeout and neither is terribly fun to play... Wipeout has decent control but Twisted Metal... its like too much is going on and the cars turn too fast and I almost get dizzy playing it.

Srika,

Do you like puzzle games?

If you do try out Lumines. Crazy addictive and the music is amazing. Wonderful beats that are manipulated by the gameplay. It's the only PSP game that has gotten consisent 9+ reviews.

think the hype is beginning to fade. its a really cool looking portable but just not worth the 250. just because the graphics is nicer doesn't mean i will be carrying it around more than a gba. i hardly use the gba so the psp would seldomly be used as well. some of my friends got it when it first came out and they use to brin it out everywhere with them. now none of them play with it, just sits at home and they play once in a while.

pretty sure I'd get midnight club 3..... that's the kind of game I wouldn't find myself playing at home on PS2, but at work,

Funny but tonight I actually lent out my PSP to a friend of mine, who's going to San Fran for a week to visit her parents. She'd been in the hospital for the last 3 days with pneumonia after a stress-related asthma attack - and she'd been wanting to get a PSP for some weeks now... so, seeing how I haven't touched mine in about 3 weeks, I thought it was a fitting thing to do. She was flippin' out when she saw how good Spiderman 2 looked on it.

That's probably more info than anyone wanted to know, but hey, :truePSPstory:

...yeah, I haven't really have time to play it... I thought I'd be playing it while doing cardio on the eliptical.... but... it's too hard to concentrate, and I keep thinking I'm going to drop it....

...but the weird thing is... I still stop by certain stores to see what games are out... yet, I don't hardly touch the thing...

negative.. it's still cool. I think I will be using mine more after I get more memory stick storage and after more (better) things come out for it.

I still enjoy mine.

The problem right now is that many of the games I would buy for a portable gaming machine like side-shooters (i.e. Gradius, R-Type, Contra types) and puzzlers are not out...Although, I'm hearing from the grapevines that Hot Shots Golf is worth the purchase...I'd still recommend the PSP. As well, for the long plane rides, the PSP and a nice movie is just so worth it.

Ok, so I bit the bullet and got one last nite. I picked up NFS and the above mentioned Hot Shots golf, which is absolutely awesome. I was up until midnite playing it. Its always been one of my favorites since PS1 and it plays exactly the same. NFS is cool, a little hard to control at first, but not bad. I wanted to get Metal Gear, but am iffy about its card style play. Other than that, Im pretty happy with it, It will be cool to play on the balcony at nite while Im bbq'in. I wish I couldve waited until it got cheaper, but I was in Gamestop and said what the hell. Next thing on the list is a bigger memory stick.

The only thing that sucks, and if someone knows different let me know, is that I started a game in Hot Shots, saved it and whatever, then my wife started to play, but she couldnt make her own save, it would overwrite mine. Is there a way to have 2 games on there? I didnt see anywhere else to save a new game. This sucks because if she wants to play, either she has to use my save, or take the memory card out and start from the beginning and not save at all.

I take it to work and play on my lunch and after work while I'm waiting at the train station to pick up my wife. I just won Metal Gear on ebay for 17 bucks also, sounds like a cool game.

My thread/link has some info on that but you can make a movie fit onto a GB memory stick pretty easily from what I've read. If my PDA can do it (Aximsite.com) I am sure this thing can.

You might be able to squeeze a [short] movie onto the 256mb card...for sure on the 512mb.
