racing sim

Hi guys,

Is there a racing game that you don't drive in a cycle?
Like... the original Test Drive and Out Run.

Which system? Test Drive Unlimited for the XBOX360 probably fits what you're looking for.

PC

I have NFS. It is fun but it is just missing that "you are getting close" kinda feel.

getting close to what?

I always liked the stages on the origional nfs, where you were going up a coast, or up a mountain.

Do you like rally games much? Those have stages.

The problem with your request is that it's somewhat difficult to code racing against AI or other people online if you're not in a closed circuit. If you don't care about that and enjoy just racing against the clock then I recommend Richard Burns Rally. It's about two years old now but there are lots of mods for the PC version that bring it up to date. It should go without saying, of course, that you'll be racing mostly on dirt and gravel. BTW, don't even think about this one unless you have a wheel and pedals.

Or you could just race the Nordschleife in something. It's long enough that it doesn't seem like a closed circuit.

I like Out Run and the original Test Drive that I am racing to reach the goal to have fun over there.

Instead of racing in one track and then another and then another without any purpose... (hmmm... just like anything in real life.... hahahaha!!!)
