Bionic Commando in the palm of your hand.

February 17, 2006 - Capcom's history is filled with beloved game after beloved game. From Bionic Commando to 1941 to Street Fighter, its titles are some of the most well-known and most beloved titles in gaming history. With the release of its Capcom Classics Collection on current-gen systems, the company put many of these games back into the hands of their fans.
But the portable market isn't to be left out. Capcom Classics Collection Remixed is a take on the console version and is headed straight to a PSP near you. Featuring 20 games, 15 of which are unique to the PSP version, the package features the same sorts of bonus materials seen on the console version. From remixed music to original art for the games, there is a whole ton of goodies in there for fans of these old-school games.
Speaking of the games themselves, included in the collection are titles such as 1941, Avengers, Block Block, Bionic Commando, Captain Commando, Magic Sword, Quiz and Dragons, Street Fighter, Strider, Three Wonders and Varth. And don't forget about Quiz and Dragons.
One pretty cool aspect is that each and every game has WiFi features of some fashion. Every game features the ability to upload your high scores to a friend's system and vice-versa. It'll compare the two lists and make a new ranked list out of your combined scores. Additionally, any game with some sort of multiplayer component is playable via WiFi, which is really the only way two-player would work on the PSP anywho. Up to four people can do battle digitally, for the games that apply anyway.
Another cool thing that really only applies on the PSP is the ability to turn the system sideways and shift the screen vertically in games like 1941. All games will feature multiple viewing options, like the option to stretch its 4:3 video to fit the PSP's widescreen display, but some of them have customized views. In the case of 1941, you still play with the D-Pad and face buttons as per usual, but the arrow keys are rotated to fit with the screen. It's pretty cool.
That's really all there is to say about Capcom Classics Collection Remixed for now. You've likely played many of the included games in the past, and if you've seen the console version of Capcom Classics Collection then you pretty much know what's in store for you here. The packaging and presentation features on the "unmixed" console game were pretty sweet, and Remixed on the PSP looks to carry on in the same vein. Old-schoolers will definitely want to keep an eye on this one.
