I saw, its still ultra lame that there will be no finishing moves.Thats what made MK...

 

wasnt it announced months ago that there would in fact be fatalities for the mk characters/villains and "brutalities" for the superheroes since they dont kill people (pussies)

 

Honestly, at my advanced age versus back when SFII and MK were big, I can't memorize anymore moves. I already forgot most of the MK fatalities and am barely holding on to my SF knowledge.

Why not...? Capcom teamed up with Marvel to make Street Fighter vs. Marvel...so, why not MK vs. DC...?

 

just doesn't seem right.... i would except marvel to do it with capcom cause of the ownerships in the games they have. But DC and MK 2 off the end of each other.

 

Got the game today. It's okay. Move styles were almost the same as previous MK's.

Less combos and no style swaps though. The close Kombat option pretty neat. The idea of falling off a stage onto another for me, is wack. I liked the previous MK's where something would fall on them or kill them.

Overall storyline is corny but the superheroes had pretty good moves coming into a Mortal Kombat type of fighting game.

Eh, not a buy I regret but would expect more. Will play more and give updates, it could get better.

 

I played it at my friend's house, its pretty fun. We couldn't figure out how to do any of the fatalities though.

 

Plays like previous MK's? Which ones? They seem to change the styles a bit for each one. I prefer the MK2 style.

 

^ This game has almost the same style of fighting, very MK-esque. Rugged and one hit type of combos and attacks (I don't know how to explain it).

The move list is very milked down though. I tried coming up with my own combos. Got a few down with Various characters. I miss the style switch off in the previous MK's.

This one kind of brought it back to the SNES days...nothing wrong with it but nowadays, Chains and power moves make a fighting game much more exciting.

Now tonight I'm going to see if the old fatalities can be used in this game.

I think it's pretty good. I played online with a few of my friends....hella lag. I got the fatalities to work. Almost the same button play as the old school SNES MK. The Superheroes/villain Brutalities are awesome too. Only thing I can say, there are less combo moves. I can live with that. Worth my 50 bucks.

 

Yeah thanks for leaving us hanging in suspense for so long Jake! I saw a commercial on Espn last night that looked awesome. As soon as I get some dough I'll probably pick it up cuz I havent bought a fighting game in years.

 

I hear all fighting games have lag. Supposedly Soul Calibur's lag is worse?

 

Tekken has it bad too.
