..the AV slot no longer takes a connection. You can spend like 20 minutes wiggling it around and it will sometimes work, but for the most part it doesn't. I've tried different cables as well. IS there a place I can fix this or do I need to buy a new pS2?

 

Go to somewhere like target or kmart where they dont scan the system's barcode andbuy a new one. Throw the old one in the box and return it. 99.9% of the time they return it no ?'s asked. I know that EB Games and gamestop scan the barcode so that you cant pull the trick on them so dont go there.

 

any other options? Can I send it in somewhere to get fixed?

Scott, contact Sony and send your PS2 to Sony they will fix it for free. I sent my old PS2 in and they fixed it for free and all I had to do was pay for shipping.

 

Was that cuz of the Disc Read Error? They have to on that because it's a major defect. However, you might get it free CLpower since it's fairly new.

 

You can have a new one like tright now, if you did it my way. Target wont resell it. They will send it back to sony.
