Doom ported to iPod
By Aaron McKenna: Monday 08 August 2005, 15:09
IF YOU HAVE an iPod and are a fan of killing stuff you'll be happy to know that the King of First-Person Shooters, Doom, has made its way across to Apple's stylish mini-hard-drive-with-an-earphone-jack-and-screen. Unfortunately only users with color iPods and those who are able and willing to run Podzilla, an iPod Linux project, are able to play the game.
Podzilla cleverly uses the iPod's in-built media scroller and a few of its buttons to recreate Doom's side-scrolling style. Hurrah for another successful Doom port. µ
