PS2 - newbie

Hi,

I got a PS2 with Guitar Hero 1 for Christmas.
I'd like to get a copy of DDR but I don't know which one to get. They have TONS of different versions. Any suggestion? I also would like a copy of the Eyetoy. But again, they have tons of different selections. Any suggestion for that one too?

Thanks!

I think GH2 only has all new songs and a few extra game modes over GH1.

Eye Toy seems like anon-factor. Never saw any compelling games for it.

As for DDR, I'd just get the latest, which I think is the "Super Nova" edition. It's the one that should be on store shelves right now.

the game comes with pad? I don't know that.

I was searching google for pad.
This place has tons of different pads.
I don't know what pad to pick.
Any suggestion?

So is this GH2 really that fun? I was watching some cousins play the 1st one last night and it looked fun. But I dont think I could see myself playing it all the time? Is it that addicting?

The game comes with a pad, and the official Konami ones are some of the best to have, so no need to get one seperate. Unless you want to get the full metal arcade-type ones, which I doubt if you're just starting to learn.

It is fun when you are into classic rock and you have a bunch of friends playing along with you.

Think of it as "Simon Says". It makes you want to punch all the buttons all day long.

a little off topic, but can anyone recommend a fighting game for PS2? New or old.

I have an itch to play a fighting game and don't own any. What's the single best one? (that I can preferrably buy used)

I've heard good things about Soul Caliber... is the Mortal Kombat series any good on PS2?

I have Soul Calibur II on GameCube, but I know they made one for PS2 as well. It's excellent.

I really don't play fighting games at all, I just got it because my girlfriend told me to and we like to play.

I'm really bad at it, but I just put it on the easiest difficulty and go to town on the computer, hehe. It looks and plays great, a lot of fun.

I'd also recommend you do some research on Tekken series as well. Then get what you think will enjoy the most.

Thanks for the Tekken tip, but I don't really know what I'll enjoy the most. That's why I'm looking for a fighting game that pretty much everyone agrees is great, or has gotten great reviews/is a classic etc....
