good shit..that's what i was hoping to hear. I need a good game to keep me busy between bouts of ff12. i have heard of ico, but what is it? I know it's made by the same guys who made sotc, but otherwise I am clueless. You have played it I assume?

 

Not to give anything away, but Ico and SotC are linked. Ico is an adventure/puzzle game. Its not at all like SotC. It is probably one of the best sleeper games out there. It had no hype, not a lot of advertising, but it is probably one of the best games I've played. I bought it the day I bought my PS2 and I still have it, its a classic already. Play SotC first if you like, but I would really try to find a cheap copy of Ico if possible. For being a 8ish year old game, the graphics and everything are still great considering whats out there

 

how r the graphics in comparison to sotc? I'll prolly ust pick both of them up in that case. I have heard that there is practically no story in sotc, is ico the beginning of the story for sotc?

Well, the scale of SotC's characters are bigger whereas the scale of the levels in Ico are bigger. In Ico, you are in HUGE areas (inside a castle, outdoors). In SotC, theres pretty much not a lot to look at while you are riding to the next area, mostly mountains and forests, but I'd say the graphics are definitely better than Ico's. For what its worth, Ico has some of the most realistic outdoor graphics I have ever seen. The trees are amazing to just stand and look at.

You will never play another game like SotC on the PS2, it stands by itself, IMO.

lol...God of War I was nuts. I'll get my buddies to rent this one.

 

ICO came out way back when the PS2 first launched. It's still not very well known, but its a great game. Its an adventure/puzzle game. I am pretty sure you can find it for less than 10 bucks used, its well worth getting
