Looks amazing. And yeah, looks like a must-buy...

At this rate, I'm never going to be playing with the PS3.

Case in point: the PS3 is here but I spent most of last couple of days trying to finish "Castlevania: Curse of Darkness" instead of playing "Resistance"...

The PS3 is destined to remain with crap games for eternity. Let us owners suffer and lament about wasted money.

To Silver's statement, they are making GOW 3 already for the PS3. The original creator is working solely on that (GOW 2 was made by his colleague who worked on #1).

To be honest, this game is not so bad if you've finished Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox.

Has the PS3 version been confirmed? If so what is the release date?
Because as soon as Sony saw that God of War was a hit they should have thrown all their resources at having a PS3 version available at launch, but we can chalk that up to another Sony flub.

Even thought I can't wait to play this game, but they should have done what Nintendo did to zelda. Like port the ps2 version over and allow it to be seen in 1080p plus extra features and what not on 1 blue ray disc and do not release the ps2 version a month later... You know that could actually help it sell more ps3.
So my wife knows I have been waiting for this game to come out. She's almost 9 months pregnant and she ran out this morning to Gamestop to get it because she thought it was out today, but its only out tomorrow
What a woman

I replayed GOW in the last month just to prep myself for the sequel...turns out Hard was pretty simple, since I knew all the right combos. I gave up when I fell into Hell not because the monsters were too strong but because I kept jumping off the platforms and dying
. Trust me, you can only listen to Kratos scream so many times.
BTW, Ninja Gaiden is still the hardest game I've ever played. And what I really want is a Shadow of the Colossus 2....that was one of the most novel games I've ever played.

About 2 weekends ago, I popped this in on a Saturday night and played thru the whole game again. I friggin love this game. Once in a while, ICO will see rotation also. 2 classics I will never get rid of.
GOW was gonna come out also, but I am still playing Okami, which is great also if you haven't played it yet.

Nope, 2 totally different games. Shadow of the Colossus is basically 16 boss battles. You do no other fighting in the game. You start each battle searching for the Colossi in the huge world. Then you have to figure out how to kill each one. Sounds boring, but you really have to play it to appreciate it. The ending is awesome as well

because the bosses are so huge, you have to use strategy and such to take 'em down right? (such as having to climb up the monster's fur to get to the top of it and such).

Each one has 'weak points', but they can be anywhere. Some even have more than one and you have to find all of them. Its just a great game to look at. I beat the game in less than 8 hours, so its real short, but its so much fun to play. The last boss is a little sucky, but its still a pretty cool fight. The ending alone is worth playing if you have played ICO.
Does anyone know how to run the PS2 in progessive scan mode? What do I need to do this? Reason I ask is after reading game reviews, it says the games look better when running in progressive scan. I can't figure out how to do it

Can get frustrating at times.
coolness. I'm running out to get it after work today...I hear that it's easily beatable in a day though...and how long do you really run around between colossi? some reviews say hours, some say like 30m...i'm gonna get it either way...would just like to know what to expect...lol...does this count as a hijack? my bad if it does...moer on the thread topic though...the end of god of war 2 was so awesome yet so disappointing...
