Looks cool, maybe a little too cartoony for my liking. That and I haven't played/seen/heard of Dragon's Quest I-VII so I feel like I'm missing out on something.

Have any of them been released stateside?

 

I read the review on gamespot and it got a really high rating (9.0) and editors choice. Unfortunately, it looks a little too cartooney for me. Also, I have never heard of the series.

 

Dragon Quest first came Stateside as "Dragon Warrior" for the NES. I still have that one...It was a pretty decent as an RPG (back when RPGs were more or less lacking in consoles)...

I believe the NES had Dragon Warrior 1, 2, 3, and 4 released here...After that, the series continued on with the Playstation but was never released stateside until part 8 which I'm posting about. It did develop a cult following amongst RPG fans but never was as mainstream as the Final Fantasy series...

 

I know Dragon Warrior. I used to smote blue and red blobs on the regular.

Need to find a good PC RPG now...

 

That's right! Them blobs! I remember of the blobs, the Metal Slime was the baddest and gave the most EXP.
