please, someone BUILD ME THIS!

I need this sooooo badly. I played GT4 in this exact setup in the Sony Metreon (SF, CA) and it rocked so hard,....the 64" widescreen was juicy.

I've been looking into this for a while now. I'm trying to get a good car seat and figure a way to mount it. That is a pretty cool setup.

it's made by logitech...and it costs $1000USD

what a fucking rip-off...

it's no more than bending 2 bars, putting a seat on top of the frame and there you go. Unfortunately, I can't make shit cause I'm not a crafty ho..

This is similar..... http://www.gameracer.us/

Around $500... and you need to provide your own wheel/pedals.

Oh and moving to Gaming forum

uhhh, that is way ugly and can't compare this logitech design by far!

You guys have to try it out. It's frickin' crazy! I feels like you are in the cockpit..then again, there's a 64" widescreen right in front of your face too. It's just sooo damn good...I'm thinking of going over to home depot to get some cheap wood to build something similar...it's really awesome.

For those who have yet to try the steering wheel, you need to. It will change the way you play this game. Makes it 10 times more fun.

here's another one, it's a more manageable $329... I mean, I actually know someone who bought this.

http://www.bobearlracing.com/

I would never pay like $1000 for something like this... it's a fricking GAME, I mean come on...

If I had access to a pipe bender and mig welder I'd make my own. $1000 for that, wtf? Without that Sparco race-approved seat, your left with 30-40 bucks woth of pipe and paint.
But I found a prebuilt cockpit in a computer mag: http://www.scythe-usa.com/

It's the MSC-008 and I think it comes with the seat.

ok.... I think I could build something that looks better than THAT. did they steal those seats from an old airport lobby or something? or perhaps a bus station LOL

But there are only two pedals in the setups posted.
Can't you have one with three pedals and a shifter?
I mean, if I'm going to play GT4, I'm gonna want to neutral drop a McLaren F1 at 6800RPM.

Lots of info on building race sim cockpits here:
http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=186

This one is a pretty inexpensive alternative to a commercially built cockpit:
