Sweet! Looks like they took a lot of lessons from Tropico.

Knew about it a couple months ago, but never seen any gameplay footage. Looks great!

Great. Another productivity killer.
Thanks..... I think.

I've got spurs...
I can't wait. I remember playing SimCity 2000 back when I was 8-ish. I played the newer SimCities but they never clicked as well with me.
This one seems promising. I just hope EA doesn't smother it with DLC.

They will probably have something in store, but the real beauty behind the SimCity franchise has been the modding community & Maxis knows better than to turn its back on them, so expect a huge amount of content for this game to be available.

If you guys haven't, I would suggest reading some of the threads in this forum.

Population size limited, as are the number of regions & city tile. Once you reach the border, your metropolis just ends in a field.

I preordered this from amazon.com, you get a Heroes & Villains "kit" with it, from them. They also had "part 2" for the video Rubin posted.

The website shows minimum specs for a Mac but I can't find anywhere to preorder it. Is the Mac version being released at a later date?
Edit: Found this. Not sure if legit or not:

I remember playing this (or something similar) at school in like 6th grade on an old Mac...still remember the traffic helicopter guy. Not sure which version though if it even was SimCity.
I think I bought SimCity 2000 but didn't like it as much. This looks improved over that though, obviously.

Seriously, i hope this game isn't a let down.
I really hope they also bring back other games that integrate with Sim City.
I really liked Sim Copter where you could load your Sim City into it and fly through your own city and go on missions.

Simcopter was awesome. Did anyone else fly around in the Apache and rain destruction down upon your custom built city?

I have played it four times today, one hour limits each time. Keeps asking for better medium housing, but not allowed to the buildings and attractions that will attract those people, the one's with $$$, not $.
