PC: MechWarrior Online
Anybody here a fan of the mechwarrior series?
The closed beta is available for sign up! The final version will be free-to-play and I have to say, it is one of the more polished free to play games judging from the screenshots (i will neither confirm nor deny my participation in the beta). It's powered by CryEngine 3.
Little known fact: many of the original mechs in the previous games were licensed from the RoboTech universe and Macross.

Ah thank you for this. I just reserved my pilot name and registered for the beta.
I always get nervous when I see F2P because it could easily be poorly executed. Here's hoping it's not going to be pay to win.

there are some perks to buying the founders package (the founders atlas is fitted pretty nicely) but it doesnt make them outrageously hard it would seem. I wouldnt know, because of NDA.
i have not paid anything.

NDA is lifted. I've been in the beta and while borderlands 2 is taking up my time right now, MWO still has a special place in my heart.
