PC Fans...
I'm currently running two Kingwin 80mm fans on my case. They keep my system cool with temps at 30C/25C (cpu/mobo) but they are annoying loud if it is the only thing on in the room.
Anyone know of fans that can push a high amount of CFM but are nearly silent?
I was looking at SilentX fans but they are pricey and are my last resort.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

They have a recommended list of fans/power supplies, etc.
Also, instead of running your fans at full RPM (12V), get a fanbus and turn down the speed. I have a case that takes 2 120mm fans, 1 92mm fan, and a 80mm HSF + 120mm for the PS. The fanbus controls 4 of those (PS is auto). From 2300rpm to 1000rpm makes a BIG difference in noise.

Ultimately to make it quieter you need a few things
1) Bigger fans. If you can upgrade to 120mms with a lil modding, you will find you can get the same airflow from a lower rpm, and thus a lower amount of noise.
2) Direct access to the outside of the case = bad. basically you dont want to be able to see your fans moving. This means they have line of sight to the room and thus no noise barrier. Use a Mesh cover to trap hair and crap, and reduce noise
3) Rubber Gromets - if your fans are producing noise via vibration, you can try using rubber gromets on the mounting points to insulate the fan from the case, to the vibration isnt rattling the case and causing more noise.
